VIENNA, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Iran on Wednesday named sevenwestern oil companies it would like to see invest in Iran's vastoil and gas sector once international sanctions are lifted
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh named in order: Total ofFrance, Anglo-Dutch Shell, Italy's ENI, Norway's Statoil,Britain's BP and U.S. companies Exxon and Conoco.
Speaking to reporters at an OPEC meeting, he said he wasalready talking with some companies but so far not those fromthe United States.
Zanganeh said: "We had no limitations for U.S. companies.Twenty years ago there were limitations against them from theirown administration. For doing projects in Iran, we have nolimitations."
Zanganeh made no mention of Russian, Chinese or Japanesecompanies or those of other nationalities.
Iran last month reached an interim deal with six westernpowers to limit its nuclear programme that may see sanctions onoil investment and trade with Iran lifted next year.
