HOUSTON, May 27 (Reuters) - A diesel unit malfunctioned onSaturday at BP Plc's 225,000 barrel per day (bpd) CherryPoint, Washington, refinery triggering the plant's safety flare,according to a notice the refinery filed with federal pollutionregulators.
The cause of the upset was unknown on Saturday afternoon,according to the notice filed with the U.S. National ResponseCenter.
