BERLIN, Jan 26 (Reuters) - AstraZeneca's CEO on
Tuesday rejected accusations by the European Union that the
pharma company had provided insufficient clarification at a
meeting this week on its decision to slow down supplies of
COVID-19 vaccines to the bloc.
"We are basically two months behind where we wanted to be
(in Europe)," Pascal Soriot told German daily Die Welt in an
interview to be published on Wednesday.
"And the issue here is we've had also teething issues like
this in the UK supply chain," he added. "As for Europe, we are
three months behind in fixing those glitches."
