LONDON (Alliance News) - Young & Co's Brewery PLC said Monday it has hired former SABMiller PLC executive Mike Owen as its new permanent finance chief from early September.
Owen will join the pub operator and brewer as chief financial officer from September 9, replacing current interim CFO Daniel Quint.
Owen will join from family-owned brewer and pub group Hall & Woodhouse, where he has been finance and IT director since 2016.
Prior to this, Owen had an eight year career at SABMiller prior to its GBP71 billion acquisition by Anheuser-Busch InBev SA in late 2016. During this time he served initially as finance chief at Miller Brands before becoming head of deployment in the global business services unit.
"Following an extensive search, we are delighted that Mike is joining the Young's team," Young's Chair Stephen Goodyear said. "He has an intimate knowledge of the industry and will bring a fresh perspective to the finance function, as we continue the development of our market-leading premium operation."
Shares in Young's were 0.6% higher at 1,758.00 pence on Monday.
