We were delighted to welcome Goldplat (GDP) CEO Werner Klingenberg to our May Investor Webinar on 24.05.22. He joined us live from Pretoria, near Johannesburg in South Africa.
Goldplat is a profitable South Africa-based gold producer with international gold recovery operations located in South Africa and Ghana. The management have successfully refocused Goldplat on it’s core metals recovery business and the business has been steadily profitable for several years now.
Goldplat is throwing off sufficient cash to be able to grow the two precious metals recovery divisions in Johannesburg and Ghana. This includes expanding more into PGM recovery in South Africa, move the Jo'burg base to be able to reprocess the gold tailings which are on site, and to expand into South America (Brazil) ‘on a measured basis’.
Werner Klingenberg, the Goldplat CEO talked us through the details of the multi-faceted growth strategy.
He said he was disappointed the share buy back programme hadn't pushed the share price higher, and was considering more. He was less keen on introducing a dividend as a means of distributing profits to shareholders.
