Potash mine developer Emmerson start Khemisset Feasability Study in Northern Morocco #EML

In an exclusive interview with London South East, Emmerson CEO Hayden Locke announces that EML are to begin a Feasibility Study at Khemisset, their potash mine project under development in Northern Morocco.

"We went through a very detailed, rigorous selection process with 10/11 consultancy engineering firms," said Hayden, whittled those down to two, went into a detailed tender process with them and finally appointed Golder Associates, who many will remember from the Scoping Study - Golder are an outstanding world class engineering group with plenty of experience of mining and complex projects. Its not appropriate for to me to talk about costs - even ballpark numbers - but in terms of what we can deliver with our current cash balance, we are confident we can deliver all of that work".

In terms of newsflow "we have a huge amount of work going on on the ground with metallurgical tests underway, expecting that to be completed sometime towards the end of June and released in July, that's progressing well, haven't seen any delays on that. Drilling will continue on our 9/10 drill hole drilling programme, that will culminate in an updated resources, hopefully in Q3 of this year, then more announcements in terms of partners, and the sales and marketing programme".

"At the end of March we had a bit over £2.3M in the kitty so we are really well funded and can deliver all of that work."
