Jadestone Energy is an upstream oil and gas company in the Asia pacific region, with a focus on production and near-term development assets. The company produces c. 14,000 bbls/d of oil from two projects offshore Australia. In addition, Jadestone is working toward development sanction of two gas fields offshore Vietnam. The Asia Pacific region is familiar territory to the Jadestone team, who have spent much of their careers running Talisman Energy’s highly successful Asia Pacific business, generating outstanding returns. Paul will provide an update on the company, and demonstrate the deep value opportunity within Jadestone, including a clear line of sight to grow production to c. 30,000 bbls/d by 2023.
Jeremy Asher, Chairman and CEO of AIM-listed Tower Resources, an independent oil and gas company with a pan-African regional focus. Tower are preparing to drill in the Thalia Block, in shallow water offshore Cameroon, and Jeremy will no doubt bring you up to date with the latest developments. Drilling is due to start at Njonji in the second quarter of this year, or shortly thereafter, and Tower are currently arranging borrowing facilities. Njonji has contingent reserves of 18 million barrels of oil, with various other opportunities nearby and local infrastructure available.
John Wood, CEO of InfraStrata will be bringing us up to date with progress. InfraStrata are developing a gas storage facility in Count Antrim, with the plan being to excavate salt caverns for all-year round storage. This project has been a slow burn for many years, however the current team of Graham Lyon, Chairman and John are quickly making this scheme a reality. The UK has a shortage of gas storage facilities and InfraStrata plan to plug that energy security gap.
Richard Slape is a seasoned industry observer, having worked for more than thirty years in the UK’s independent oil and gas exploration sector. Best known for his role as an oil and gas analyst, he has worked for Canaccord Genuity where he was co-head of UK Oil & Gas, Natixis, Seymour Pierce and Charles Stanley. He has worked hands on for oil and gas explorer Rockhopper Exploration, and Lansdowne Oil and Gas where he was an executive director. Richard will provide an independent voice on our panel and hopes to bring some reality to proceedings by giving us some hints and tips of the trade which he’s learned over his time in the industry. He currently works as a consultant through his own company, Hopton Petroleum.
