I strongly suspect (and hope!!!) the end game for GD is to be bought by a bigger player, much like the strategy employed with Danson's previous company, Datamonitor. Given he turned down what I think was £1.4bn for the company a year ago, he obviously thinks it's worth far more to the right company.

I can see how private investors would be wary of buying GD shares, as on the face of it, AI will supercede their product quite quickly.

Institutional investors hold aorund 30% of shares, which can make share prices more volatile if they buy/sell. But the fact they hold so much is encouraging, in that hopefully they've a bit more insight than Joe Bloggs.

But as you say, FTSE250 entry and a good first half report should make some difference!

I have a feeling that this will be going lower until they move into the 250 ftse in June, not long to wait plus the financial accounts in August should be good!!!!!! the problem is no PR and news

Disappointing the share buyback barely seems to shift the dial in a positive direction

Seems as though the recent advance has run out of steam (as welcome as it was!).

I imagine the next catalyst will be the FTSE250 entrance. Hopefully once there, GD will get a bit more visibility and interest, and fingers crossed it'll also be followed by an encouraging set of results of H1 too!

Bit of profit taking yesterday and a lovely bounce back up today! LongTimeInvesta, be great to hit your 170p target...i wonder if we will need a catalyst to get back there or will the current buy back scheme & entry to the main market get us there. Interesting story is DATA :-)
