Wow - just the news we were waiting on - not
jees
mol
Oops meant to add sent to you by Stephen!
jees again and absolutely out of order
mind i pick up more new product releases than even SOH - and post here - lol
mol
Thanks for sharing.
Then take a bow, you old misery!
It's not me trying to build a subscriber base /business - anything i find is foc and i haven't yet had any reason to subscribe to your channel nor your son taking over your mantle here nor even your nemesis (apparently) TW
stick to your over the top comments on sbtx - they sound very familiar to your comments on here a number of years ago
and never forget it was opti that released sbtx onto their journey (don't really like that word/saying but nevermind) and accept unlike seneca and most other shareholders we have been quite judicious in our share sales to date
and presumably having bought into the SBTX at time of listing - i quote
I'll express it this way. I am trying to recall the last time I was as confident about a Company's future bashed as hard as SBTX as I am today.
mol
So, Mol, essentially, you are a socialist Labour; be kind but hate anyone trying to build a business. Is your food, rent, car, transport FOC? I don't ask or persuade anyone to pay for our service; some of it is FOC. Being of petty mind as you are is your right, as is my right to call you out on your foolish rantings. You come across as a delicious neighbour peering over the fence and a better garden every time I venture a comment on here. It's childish, and most people know this, apart from the lemmings who voted for your posts. Six brain cells, at least. I don't think they have a critical thought between them.
Excuse me, over-the-top comments...You once claimed not to read "the drivel," we wrote. Make your mind up. As for the rest of your wants about SBTX...I will spare you my thoughts on the history lesson and the future. You're far too intelligent for me, especially with deep thought at your disposal. I'll take a dignified exit and leave you to your bitter self.
Just remember, your lot is supposed to be kind!
Mol, if you took the blinkers off for s moment you would recognise that Opti now sponsors Lemming Investors as a means of providing communications that do not warrant the cost of a Reach RNS and yet provide colour as to progress being made to both shareholders and the wider investor base that subscribe to Lemmings but are not current Opti shareholders and hence wont read this BB. As a sponsor of course, all Opti related communications are made available free of charge to all so you should embrace this additional comms channel whether you are enthused by the content or not, if nothing else leaving the mudslinging aside, if has stimulated a debate on the merit or other wise of this new product which is a good thing.
In terms of financials from this launch we were told in the Final Results RNS that Opti were " Recruiting four new partners for SlimBiome® in Asia through our partnership with Nutraconnect Pte, all of whom placed initial orders before the end of 2023 and which we expect to contribute revenues of £125,000 to £150,000 in 2024." so part of that. The film star info info provided by Sophie and Dire was interesting, it will certainly help the launch get off to a good start but will have come at a high marketing cost so important that repeat orders flow from it.
Agree that sweetbiotix news is the one all holders crave but that will of course be communicated via a full RNS so rather silly to use it as an example to criticise this latest sponsored piece
Aquae - I’m afraid I don’t buy their comms strategy at all.
If they have something worth saying to investors (or potential investors), be professional, swallow the relatively small cost & RNS it. If it’s not worthy of an RNS, it’s unlikely to move the dial anyway, so really isn’t worth bothering with at as ll.
Using some random father & son PR (aka “analysis”) outfit to supplement your RNS’s just makes you look unprofessional, cheap & dodgy IMHO.
Agree wholeheartedly lord. But I am a single brain cell human according to Elric, so please ignore me. But I ain't a lemming
Nothing wrong with family run businesses, they make up 88% of all businesses in the country, and are often referred to as the backbone of the UK economy. Goodness knows SOH needs help with his comms, still describes himself as a Scientist rather than a Company Director in the Occupation Section of the Company House Filings and anyone who has joined the Investor Meets Presentation knows they have zero chance of having their questions answered through that forum as he just ignores them.
Aquae - I agree with all that & I never said anything’s wrong with family businesses. Indeed, I run one myself.
What IS wrong however is to give certain individuals snippets of potentially market-sensitive info ahead of others, asking them to communicate it to the wider public as they see fit.
And if the info isn’t market-sensitive, why bother giving it out at all, as it’s not going to change things anyhow.
SOH normally ignores investor questions at webinars simply because he hasn’t got any good answers. Sure, he’s not the most inspiring communicator, but he IS perfectly capable of putting messages across. It’s just not usually the message investors want to hear, as he consistently over-promises then subsequently has to row back.
Hi Lord, agree that market sensitive information should not be released to individuals and where it has been they would not be allowed to communicate and act on it as they would be "insiders". That said, I think we can also agree that the info released through the Sponsored Lemmings channel does not constitute market sensitive information but that does not mean it is totally irrelevant and of interest to investors and potential investors, after all, as a participant on this BB you obviously enjoy the exchange of ideas and opinions that research by others stimulates.
Regarding the Sponsored Lemmings articles on Opti triggered by non-market sensitive information provided by SOH for dissemination, all I am suggesting is that people leave behind past grudges and use the channel via elrico as an opportunity to ask SOH any questions they have regarding the subject matter with at least some chance of getting a response, after all RNS's, Reach or otherwise and Investor Meets doesn't meet this need.
FitoZlim!!!!!! I voted for SlimbioMcslimface!
Why has Stephen reduced his target audience to the non Obese but want to lose a bit of weight?
Aquae - I can see we're not going to agree on this one.
To me, a BB is very different from a sponsored/paid for business PR vehicle.
From the (admittedly little) I read of elrico's "analysis". it struck me as full of confirmation bias & short on searching questions or any hard financial facts. Some of the past interviews with SOH were more bromance, less hardtalk.
Anyhow, you carry on reading the lemming stuff - that's entirely your prerogative. But I continue to believe this association (& even more especially, the one with TW) significantly undermines SOH's credibility & makes him look commercially naive frankly.

"The Company has developed novel science, protected its commercial interests with a broad IP portfolio, has SweetBiotix®'s taste and texture and/or health potential confirmed independently by industry partners and in academic publications, and formed partnerships with a number of industry partners. These include DSM-Firmenich who have specialist expertise in taste and texture, manufacturing capability, and a global distribution network. Our US partner has shown SweetBiotix® can be manufactured to scale. Given the size of the challenge and considering the food industry is dominated by large global players with significant R&D capabilities this is a significant achievement for OptiBiotix. The focus now is on leveraging this position to fully exploit the market opportunity open to us and bring products containing SweetBiotix® to market. This is the focus of 2024."

The Company has included SweetBiotix® in a finished product for a large global partner with a view for an upcoming launch. The Company hopes to see SweetBiotix® in an increasing number of products launched throughout 2024.
The Company has received preliminary forecasts from DSM-Firmenich, one of its SweetBiotix® partners, of >100,000 metric tonne per annum. Whilst a preliminary forecast it demonstrates the scale of intent and the size of the opportunity.
Finally, we are pleased with progress on SweetBiotix®, its first introduction into a finished product, and the scale of the opportunity forecast by DSM Firmenich. We believe we have a number of substantive opportunities, any one of which would be transformational for the Company and shareholders alike, and collectively change the future of the business.

Second generation products (SweetBiotix and MicroBiome Modulators/Synbiotics)
As with any step change innovation this has been a long and difficult path with significant challenges,
particularly on scale up, and during the two years of COVID when development stopped. These
challenges have now been overcome and we have been pleased that the scale of the opportunity and
uniqueness of our patented approach has attracted the interest of major global partners both in the
manufacture (e.g DSM-Firmenich) and application of these products (e.g Coca Cola, Nestle, Arla etc).
These partners bring scale and global networks albeit time consuming and with stringent
confidentiality conditions. We have been pleased with the progress made by DSM-Firmenich and its
preliminary forecast for SweetBiotix® of >100,000 metric tonne per annum, demonstrating its intent
and potential scale of the opportunity. If this forecast materialises at an expected price of £30 per kg
this would represent substantial sales revenue. Experience tells us that partner forecasts tend to be
optimistic, increases in volume often take longer, and over time the sales price is likely to be eroded
to £18-£20 per kg, however this gives an indication of the potentia
Potential scale of the opportunity.
We are currently working with a manufacturer who supplies products to major corporates and uses 10,000
metric tonnes of sugar per annum. We are progressing incrementally and have included SweetBiotix®
in a finished product for a large global partner with a view for an upcoming launch. The Company is
also working on including SweetBiotix® in our own products and launching a bulk sugar replacement
product with the aim of seeing SweetBiotix® in an increasing number of products in 2024 and beyond.
Whilst SweetBiotix® has captured investors interest, the Company has another group of products
which it believes create comparable opportunities for revenue growth and value creation. OptiBiotix
has developed a number of unique, patented technologies, which allow it to create dietary ingredients
and/or therapeutic products to precision engineer the microbiome. This is achieved by technologies
which allow us to examine a microbe’s genome to identify its ability to utilise specific substrates. With
this information protein synthesis techniques can be used for large-scale production of unique
substrates specific for the optimum growth of that microbe. This allows the creation of substrates
which boost the growth of specific genera or species of microbes that have been connected with
cancer, improving drug treatments, the development of chronic diseases, or even the ageing process
Healthy longevity: The role of the gut microbiome (medicalnewstoday.com). This ability to identify
and create products which selectively enhance the growth and activity of specific microbes is a new
concept but has the potential to revolutionise microbiome-based products and therapies.
Microbiome modulating approaches are a largely unexplored area of opportunity for both the food
and pharmaceutical industry but have the potential to transform healthcare. If the microbiome is the
future of healthcare, having an approach to precision engineer the microbiome to enhance those
microbes that deliver health benefits is the pathway to achieving that aim.
given these pronouncements one has to wonder on the necessity of Stephen's recent company promotion vehicle and his continuing relationship with TW.
I still believe our website requires a complete overhaul and online store brought up to date - neither of which imo portray any resemblance of professionalism at the moment.

Apologies for the spacing - didn't look like that prior to hitting post button

As always Mol, thanks for all the incredible information you post on here. The depth of the research and the generosity with which you share it is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks FriedmanSowell and others recently

Product pricing.
Going to try some Wellbiome and I see pricing on website works out at 23.39 [after discounting at 22 per cent]plus delivery charge yet pricing on Amazon is 18.99.Quite a difference in price...is this normal pricing differential when selling own products compared to using Amazon?
Is it problematic in any way or irrelevant? I honestly dont know but thought may be useful to flag.
Oleric - assuming those figures are correct, it's the exact opposite of what you'd expect.
Amazon charges third party sellers hefty commission. So you'd expect Opti's prices there to be at least as high as selling direct.
Amazon officially frown upon/outlaws pricing above that on other sites - including a seller's own. But I've often seen this in practice. Presumably because Amazon turns a blind eye (or more likely is too dozy to notice).
Indulgence chocolate peanut bar cheaper on Amazon as well
I love the indulgence bars
Might buy more but from Amazon
Obviously these things take time regardless of who may or not be promoting
