Sorry Bankrupty. I was just "messing" with you (in a friendly way) because a while ago we had slightly different opinions of gold demand. At the time there were some very extravagant forecasts being made on here about imminent rises and recently NoelShempsky drew our attention to a quote from a Michael Oliver who suggested Gold was going " parabolic" . We have had regular forecasting here in recent years that Gold price was imminently going through the roof even to suggestions that Russia and China were buying vast quantities to force the demise of the US Dollar as a leading world currency.

Gold has indeed risen, but hardly " rocketed" . Additionally, I am not swayed by the opinions of Winnifrith and other " gurus" or stock "tipsters" and believe DYOR the best way to invest in stocks. My reference to Omaha and leprechauns was rather mischievous because Omaha, NE is not generally favored for finding gold and since you are from the "Emerald Isle" you will understand where one might find a pot of gold ! I will most certainly take a serious look at your suggestions though. Other than that you could well be on track buying AAU around 2p but it could take a few years to develop the projects Dr. K has outlined . Regards, DJ

Finally I have a slight personal problem. The Eire Government has now extended its citizenship right back to those whose great great parents were born on the island of Ireland. I could well qualify under this rule except I cannot produce my great grandfather's birth certificate (probably Co. Down or Antrim. The official records were destroyed when the IRA blew up the relevant documentation, formerly held in Dublin) in 1922. The Catholic & Protestant baptismal records (pre 1845) would be acceptable but I believe my relatives were Scottish and probably Reformist and lawyers are suggesting I might want to fund around $6000 to (maybe) learn more. Maybe I'll just keep researching myself. My son-in-law (although ethnic Welsh) was born in Lisburn

and got his Irish passport within a month which was very useful as he is a consultant working generally within the EU area.

Having multiple calls on citizenship may become an additional tax...you will see soon enough....I think about 50% of USA citizens hold passports....no need to travel beyond all that "the dream" offers? but each to their own if your DYOR suggests multi passports provide a certain amount of freedom...who am I to argue...but by law you can only exit and enter USA on your natural USA passport of course!
