Although there's been no formal RNS on the scale of YGEN's involvement I do think that this involvement is seen as quite strategically important hence it being led by Greg Fitzgibbon, Director of Global Operations at Yourgene Health. He is the former COO of Elucigene Diagnostics and is leading the COVID-19 assay manufacture. Elucigene Diagnostics execs got £2.9 million equity at 10.25 pence from memory so it was nice earner for them which should only set to continue with further oncology products to their DPYD screening and BRCA1 /2 screening service. So expect this oncology offering to be extended at some point this year. It is significant I think that Elucigene added 150 laboratory customers to YourGene following the acquisition. I suspect as mentioned before that the Trading Update will await further background news being finalised which I do hope is significant and will be revealed soon.
It would be interesting to see whether the laboratory in Taiwan process the ThermoFisher CE-IVD test as they are a listed Laboratory Service provider for ThermoFisher.
Yes, great spot. Confirms we are actively involved now.
Well spotted.
Obviously the notice that they were closed was directed at customers of the "regular" test.
It may even be something of an excuse as resources are directed away from regular business towards COVID19 work.
An RNS on current activity can't be far away.
Looks like the lab was open over the weekend - from Twitter:
"We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Easter weekend. We would like to say a special thank you to our #WeekendWarriors for giving their time this weekend to ensure our customer demand is met."
I would assume this was related to covid testing/production.
Will do, cheers
eato, Rns will come, plenty of news too, hang in there!
Fair point but I still think there is enough news out there for the company to update us
yes! maybe you should. It amazes me that these people expect Ygen to follow Ncyt gains. I would rather slow and steady than short term/day traders et al coming in with the pump/dump then off chasing the next rainbow.
In that case Bakky maybe we should forget all the excitement
cos atm they ain't got anything that is 'material' to say probably!
Agreed Pac-Man but at the same time why don’t we put one out?
I also think the next trading update from Ncyt should shine a light on how much work they are having to outsource and hopefully mention us by name. They do put out regular updates.
Maybe people haven’t read the RNS re: NCYT contract
don't worry our time will come I would prefer it not to spike.
Just starting creep up now.C'MON!
This is very frustrating when so many of the covid pharma stocks around us are making big gains.
Front line staff not getting tested when they turn up at empty test facility as ' too expensive' if not showing symptoms. Mind boggles.
He cut down , if it was't for him this would be much higher ..Company losing out big time because of him...
The seller seems almost inexhaustible - 30K's, 50K, 100K's.
But once they are out this will fly.
And I feel that the buying pressure is getting stronger.
There is obviously a bit of underlying pressure tagging on from Ncyt. If they are busy and can't keep up with demand then it follows that we should be picking up a lot of the overspill. But until we see it in black and white in an RNS telling us exactly what work we are undertaking and how much then we are flying blind.
If we are picking up or going to pick up significant overspill from Noca then this could carry on for months. Just need an update.
*Novacyt, spells how sounds lol
Right, back in now as raised more from Genedrive, seems cheap now at under 20p with low spread. Come on follow Novacyte ffs ;-)
NCYT is flying, this should be too!
It does say the public service lab is closed - could be different to what they are doing with phe or ncyt
with the total balls up the govt are making of testing then not surprised if there are no tests to test as yet. Would have thought they would be flat out on the NCYT stuff though. Yes, an update is now overdue.
