3skins. Recently Mr Sales, the director of the genomics dept has said they were gearing up for ''tens of thousands'' of tests per month. Sound pretty good to me. Lyn Rees has said that now they have secured the first 10k batches they will open up more capacity for the NHS and govt Moonshot work. All it will take is news of a decent govt contract and we will be away. All looks very positive to me. As usual time will tell.
We should all want better reporting requirements, pr, details and visibility.
Is that all you can say danvestment.
It's been done and they know.
Announcing reporting dates in advance has been asked and answered. The truth is they like the flexibility so they can adapt to suit.
You ask them and read through the excuse to come to the same conclusion as it has been asked. Just like the lack of /detail so often to form a pattern, ffs
3skins, so why has the govt put a substantial amount of money into the moonshot project for pcr testing over the next 2.5 years? By ALL accounts PCR is going nowhere and will be doing tests for a while yet. Well the govt thinks so too. I and many others think all this rapid testing is going to be a logistical nightmare and might never work properly anyway.
How on earth is the airport test going to work? What happens when say a family of four get to the airport and one or two test positive? There will be chaos! They say that if someone tests positive with one of these rapid tests, they then have to have another test which will be an accurate PCR test. So you see PCR will still be needed for accuracy .
I can't much see the point of using rapid or any other test that is sometimes only 60/70% accurate just because they want to speed things up.
ENOUGH - Does anyone that complains here actually do anything about it.
For Fs sake, write to Yourgene with your grievance - do something. Only then will they know your views.
I am in actually more optimistic about our future threeskins apart from my market crash worry. Covid tests are an add on for us thankfully.
Otherwise of course you are correct.
I sold a fairly substantial amount yesterday that took a while to clear, I felt I was massively over exposed on this stock. I may have been too impulsive and I've sold far to soon or good timing who knows, I will take it either way. I still hold a decent amount and believe in the company, I really want it to do well, but I am concerned as to why it is out of favour esp in the Covid world where we really are not being recognised at all. I do think that soon the PCR test will be redundant when the antigen test teething problems are sorted, I just hope that we have made hay while we can.
I also dont believe that the relatively low volume sell trades are holding the share price back, that is wishful thinking IMO, the market is always in the know before the punters and if there was a sniff the SP would start ticking.
And I believe this next crash will be years before we return to present highs.
Fundamentals would win out irrespective of my overall insignificant sells and do far buy backs!
Anyway each to their own and let's all hope we get a great TU whenever it turns up
yes the very people who are moaning about the sp are the ones who are selling, jeeez! I predict that sometime after the 'market crash' there will be a market recovery, and I will say it every day cos one day I will be right!
Or maybe stop selling? Without people selling into every 2p rise, it will stabilise and continue to rise. A consistent increase in the SP will attract new investors ...
Don't be like Twix, be like Steven Myers :=)
I'm still minded overall to reduce, but opps just keep coming as I reduce. There is a flaw if I continue infinitely as eventually I will buy back and price will not recover or price will zoom ahead and not return and I will have sold too early. I must stop buying back in on opps one day and accept my holding reduction as the goal I seek achieved. Hopefully before the market crash I forsee.
Just because we fail to deliver enough detail does not change the long term product and promise that will deliver so I'm trading it. I just bought 30k more having sold down in the 20's and high teens.
We have a great product with competing issues and frequent trading opps.
So begs the question again, why are you still here?
Notice yesterday you couldn’t help slip in the market crash scenario (again).
Expect you can’t wait for Christmas..
yes Steve, our ceo is doing very well at Abingdon on his one day a month. Maybe he should feck orf there full time and do one day a week for Ygen, lol.
I would like to know why he hasn't utilised his 20 years experience in rapid lateral flow testing for a new product for Ygen, as that is where it's at it seems. OH! forgot, that's what he's doing for Abingdon, hmmmm!? Conflict of interest maybe, or is it two different things??
Let's hope the market is working on the theory that normal service will be maintained with insufficient detail and numbers, but instead we blow the doors off! Fat chance but one can hope.
Couldn't even trade online go f the whole day yesterday apart from early morning!
Assume TU is this week and not a great indicator in run up, but let's see what we have to say and hope it provides enough numbers to make a difference for a change.
In general it's why I'm so negative here.
Generally we don't supply enough detail in a timely manner and the inability to announce our TU date in advance exactly like our Results date has always been an indicator that as with PR we don't take PI's or promotion of our progress seriously enough to actually inform fully and deliver. We could, but we really dont do we!
Very disappointing share price action as we imminently await TU
.. or maybe it does after the Abingdon £75m contract this morning!
Now where's our slice of the pie?!
Maybe it doesn't take them as long to count their revenue? :=)
Totally agree
Nice of ODX to release an RNS this morning confirming date for the release of their 6 month trading update and investor presentation. Very good comns and professional. If only we got such comms instead of the never ending speculation of dates for the covid update and dates for the 6 monthly update.
