I just checked further and the RNS about the Chairman buying 2m shares (I don't think that can be viewed as anything except good news) was at 3pm.
I don't think the timing was anything to do with good or bad news. The majority of XTR RNS releases over the past year have been late morning or afternoon. 7am releases are quite rare. Just click on the RNS list above and check.
Of course, Bushranger is working in a completely different time zone, but Zambia is only an hour ahead of us. Maybe Colin just likes to sleep late, or his employees do :)
i think after all the delays with manica the market is waiting to be " shown the money" and probably quite rightly so.having said that i believe things will improve dramatically when hard rock starts being crushed and the bushranger model is updated .
f1988 - I agree, I made this point earlier. If there is a good reason why you would release an RNS at 15:32 on what was a bad market day, then why? Is it because he thought the market wouldn’t like it so ‘buried’ it? For me that was a good RNS that you would want to maximise exposure.
Generally acceptable grades with some excellent ones mixed in
Growing IOCG potential
Still further upside potential to the west
Come on Colin, why?
CB really needs to stop releasing these news at unusal times. I'm a long term inverstor and check this board every week day (but not on it all day) and I didn't know that there was an RNS release yesterday until just now. If CB wants the market to react to the news he has to stick to 7am releases.
Howezap. Sorry but have to agree with F100 there. If news is good enough the market will react quickly, sometimes even before the news is out.
That is hasn't, leaves many questions unanswered. Is it as good as they are making out? Is it reliable? Does CB's past record have a bearing?
Market is adopting the Doubting Thomas aspect, for the moment
It has been, and no reaction.. as yet...
Mmmmmm
Be interesting to see today if the ‘very’ positive Eureka RNS yesterday will have had time to be have been digested by the market.
Can we expect an update on theiceberg’ blog?
Significant enough results for one me thinks.
Well for whatever reason they seem to be...
Hold and wait
F100
CB said in a recent interview that all he can do is keep on producing announcements that will make the current price/valuation look so ‘ridiculous’ the market cannot ignore it.
Here's a thought, maybe Bushranger Assays are to follow today. Double whamy. Now would'nt that be nice..
Glittering 7am RNS anticipated...
Dibs we're clearly on the same thought process!
Very positive news.
Have to say I'm surprised release didn't come tomorrow morning. Any reason to do it this evening? Could there be another tmrw morning ....
Maybe wishful thinking!
According to my investigations copper grades within IOCG’s typically range between 0.7 to 1.5g Cu.
The assay results released today (and previously) look pretty damn impressive in terms of both grade and intervals. I can only assume that the limp market response was caused by the news being announced towards of the end of what was a pretty shocking day generally on the market. Shame really that it couldn’t have been left til tomorrow morning. It deserved a 7am RNS.
Good stuff ice B

Try that again.
So we have (but not limited to) the following Xtract company headlines...
1-> Current largest un-mined Porphyry system discovery in NSW with AAL option, or option to mine - "Bushranger"
2-> Potential IOCG system beneath an enlarging open pit copper mine in the Zambian copper belt - size to be confirmed but "could" be Tier 1 - "Eureka"
All for 3.95p a share...

1->
The geology is quite similar to the chibuluma mine in Zambia, with the added bonus of an iocg instead of the multiple sites. Equally if it's not an iocg it's likely to be even more similar. The grades of 2-4% are pretty much the same as Zambias biggest tier 1 mines.
@theiceberg
What is it about the results that lead us to believe we have a potential IOCG occurrence ?
Is it the high Cu grades at depth ?
Meaning the deeper structure below the open pit would "naturally" contain the iron oxide & gold with the Cu because the fluids at depth pushing up to the open pit are the catalyst for the presence of a lower IOCG system ?
And that being the case, apart from getting the production from the high grade surface copper flowing - we need to drill and assay the lower system.
Drilling the lower system - in an IOCG are there sweet spots like in the layers of a porphyry ? Or does it require a lot of in fill drilling to get the over all mass ? (just trying to get my head around extent of drilling and time to prove up). Your thoughts on this would be helpful & appreciated.

O.K, thanks Iceberg, think I just mis-read your intentions while reading your message.
***thstableable: in the stable
If they start mining at BR or Eureka think of all these potential hazardous tailing they wouold produce. Why hasn't CB got a company in thstableable to help TR to process all of these tailing to produce yet more copper and be more environmentally friendly. Shame he hasn't though about that before this stage (lol).
It categorically isn't a porphyry..that's why grades are much higher at 2-6%.
're size though being a finger porphyry, bushranger is longer and thinner, probably closer in shape to a large iocg .
Personally I would expect eureka to go down to 700-800m and have a length of a km of so. With the smaller blow out near the surface giving the historic open cast mine.
They may need to enter into several JV’s in order to finance developments in a timely manner on multiple fronts?
