To be fully fair to Colin he was asked by Kevin what would happen if he sold his shares and then trashed the company. He replied he would expect a knock at the door. Well that’s correct as he is the CEO, Steve isn’t so can say pretty much what he wants, assuming he has no insider info etc. It was a rather silly question from Kevin really….
" Losing money can make one’s thoughts irrational and delusional."
However much money must you have lost Dibs61 ?
To add a good chairman would say he was sorry that a serious loyal investor has sold up. Then have the knowledge to take on the comments and provide a sensible argument as to why it was wrong and what xtract has achieved.
As the saying goes Rats that jump ship usually drown.
A lot of big buys still in the background.
Suggest wait and see how this goes and the full years result on all sites.
I am effectively saying the same thing Joeman. It indirectly affects the valuation yes. It’s when people assume perspective investors will look at Manica income and automatically add that to the SP bottom line, as if dividends have been announced. Of course the Manica cash flows have ‘value’ but not SP value if it’s all wasted on exploring new ground that turns out to be dud. So IMHO there are some rather bullish statements that imply Manica income provides a rock solid iron plated baseline SP of somewhere between 2 and 5p. Definitely doesn’t.
Free speech works both ways.
Are you saying because you are a CEO you have to take all criticisms and say nothing ?
The iceberg- well said I completely agree. Bird is way out of order. Completely irrational and unprofessional.
He needs to apologise personally to Steve4077!
This share reminds me of SOLG and I was going to post this a few months ago but then I couldn't quite see what was going to happen to send the share price spiralling downwards to justify the comparison.
Back in 2013
Colin Bird simply showing his true colours. The man is clearly a bully. Outrageous threatening remarks. The last time I checked we had free speech in this country. I think the likes of Colin Bird (and some posters here) would be better suited living in China or Russia where you cannot state your views without the fear of retribution.
Disgusted quite frankly. I will never invest in a CB stock again.
>>Colin is talking BS. I don’t 100% support Steve’s conclusions but he has every right to say what he wants and has worked bloody hard on that research. Harder maybe than Colin has worked on xtr in the past 3 months!
Just imo, but for a chairman to talk like that is outrageous. He needs to step down and help with a succession plan for a ceo.
Agree that freedom of speech is a given. I took away that CB was more pipped off that the comment came out effectively "I sold my shares, here's the worse possible scenario of what it could be". He clearly believes it impacted SP

After listening to the podcast I respectfully disagree, Dibs, and stand by my earlier comment 100%. Onwards and upwards!
CB's going round Steve's house to chin him
One thing I thought was that CB was, just a little pi..ed off with what was posted yesterday morning.
Knock Knock
Who's there ?
Bizzy,
The Manica revenue does more than its numerical value to the company, because it facilitates adding value through exploration without the normal risk of dilution that we have from most explorers.
Utilising the NPV value to the company sets a minimum, as long as the money is being employed in good exploration....
So I think it is good to use it to demonstrate company value.
Angriest I've heard Colin. "If someone sold all their shares then bashed the company - they should be expecting a knock at the door"
CB not happy, as he said if he'd sold all his shares in a company and proceeded to trash the company he's expect a knock at the door.
Maybe their legal team has been instructed to go aknocking ?
I’ve said it before, Manica does not DIRECTLY support the XTR share price! As a shareholder how do I get cash from Manica? Dividend? not likely, perhaps I can assign a small probability %age to that. Sale of our interest in Manica? Highly unlikely. How will the Manica proceeds be used? Probably to continue to pay for existing salaries, possible new drilling campaign in Bushranger or purchase of new assets in Africa. So it can INDIRECTLY help the SP but you then have to assess where the money will be spent and how successful that expenditure will be in delivering actual cash flows back to the shareholder. You can’t just take Manica revenues and convert it directly into XTR share price…
Shots fired. (paraphrase) CB)-How can an individual on a bulletin board make statements which I cannot make as I am waiting for independent experts come back with all the details.
Anything of Interest I cannot listen at mo
Crunch - I put it to you the only ‘mischief maker’ is a certain CB.
Podcast is out now !!
Brilliant news! Hopefully this will stop the mischief-makers and nay-sayers dead in their tracks.
