Utter garbage, Cela. To quote Iceberg: “ We don’t know yet whether it will be economically viable, however I think it should be.” Kindly refrain from misquoting posters. Clearly you are one of the prime mischief-makers to whom I referred yesterday .
And if it is not then what? the Cu stays in the ground?
Just for clarity I said “ We don’t know yet whether it will be economically viable, however I think it should be.”
So just looked through iceberg,s assessment and while he believes the j jorc to be off he basically agrees with what Steve he come out with so it’s not looking good really .
So Iceberg thinks the project is economically viable.
I assume Iceberg was the fellow Colin used to rave about in podcasts and presentations.
Excellent theiceberg it would appear we don't have anywhere near enough information from the company so the the smoke and mirrors will continue. The wait continues meanwhile we have a get
out in manica.
Thanks Iceberg, a very informative opinion and your description of how the company is run, especially in the last 6 months is spot on. I read with growing anticipation all the way through, imagine my dismay when I read the last paragraph......
All we want is an SP prediction !!! lol !
Seriously though, thanks again Iceberg.
Great. Just shows how with modern technology a lower grade ore can become profitable.
The Aitik mine was referenced today as a model for a profitable high tonnage low grade 0.2% ore
open pit mine.

He's the CEO of several multi million £ companies, he's not a walkover despite his shortcomings.
What's your net worth ?
Should we follow your advice ?
The situation is not the best but I'll follow the money thanks.
CB is bully. How fair was it for CB to indirectly refer to Iceberg's research in one of his podcast as it was supporting his viewpoint ? CB needs to remember this is UK and not UAE. If CB was so serious he should have RNS'ed with explanation for drastic fall. He himself is guilty of misleading shareholder.
Very, very important message from Colin https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxjgLQ2Qdb2nBsAFhNlTWKyeqpC4c0Oh8l
What you still here posting for then?
Oh you mean on a totally meaningless basis
Not that sad then, unless you decide to sell, and great if you want to top up!
yesterday somebody wrongly said….
Agatha Christie couldn't come up with as many characters in a novel with this many plot twists and false leads.!
I would sincerely request though, that once stabbed in the back the person eventually goes silent.
My attempt at humour not withstanding.
Somebody yesterday rightly said we should expect an RNS regarding the huge drop in sp. And yet all we get is CB in his safe haven podcast. It's becoming a habit that anything controversial is dealt with by this method rather than through official lines. Wonder why?
Steve, thanks for the speedy reply and the honesty. I would be interested to know if there would be a point you would reinvest in Xtract and what criteria you would have to have your confidence. Perhaps it is too early for that after the drama of the last few days. Either way, good luck with your future investments too.
Ben, you will probably see me very rarely after this week, although I have an emotional connection to XTR having been here so long and I will keep an eye on it. The last couple of days posting was more about defending against attacks on the numbers then any desire to spam the board. My goal here was to provide data to help people make informed decisions, but I am seemed to have got sucked into a more acrimonious debate.
However, I'm definitely not going to keep returning as some bitter de-ramper like Pops1980. In fact, I hope everyone does really well in XTR. If Ascot or Manica is better than I expect, I could even be back in, although the behaviour of people connected to the company has somewhat soured that possibility.
I plan to invest the money I removed from XTR and I believe in Colin's vision of copper being huge in the next few years, so I am looking for copper-related investments and other 'green' commodities. I've learned a hard lesson about promises vs reality, which will make do a lot more analysis before I go in, rather than as a reason to exit.
I'll probably post a little in the next day or two, just in response to questions, and after that I will be an occasional visitor only. Good luck with your future investments.
Steve, I have appreciated reading your posts over the past couple of years. You and several others have contributed well to mature and engaging discussions. I respect your argument for selling and your defence of said argument. I am, however, surprised you have had the time (and inclination) to spend so much time on the board over the past couple of days, especially as you say you have a respectable role as Director. I fully appreciate you could be on AL etc.
Having said the above, I would be keen to hear your thoughts moving forward.
Are you:
- Intent on contributing to this BB despite now having no financial interest in the stock?
- Intent on continuing to put forward the narrative surrounding the economic unviability of Racecourse?
- intending to find another stock to invest in?
- intending to buy back into Xtract at some point, should the company provide compelling information so as to change your mind about Racecourse?
You obviously have every right to be here but it is intriguing as to what capacity you are contributing, as it is not as a shareholder and presumably not as a hobby in your free time?
Cheers,
Ben
Yes, plainly its my fault the company is in such a state. The share price was 3.45p when the RNS was released, down from 7p in April, already a 50% drop. The share price was already down to 2.5p (a 25%+ drop since the RNS) before I posted my comments on Monday morning. It hovered around 2.15p last night. Then it went down again today to about 2p after Colin's interview in which he said a third party was needed to determine if BR is economic.
Perhaps the person highlighting the situation isn't the one to blame for it.
Jumpstreet is a 1 day old account with 9 posts, with his first being a thread starter called "Check Steve4077 for pump & dump", only on this BB. Having read through Steve's calcs I don't see anywhere he is saying there is 74 kt Cu or is ever multiplying by the cut off. Both these statements are just laughable. I have a bad feeling that Steve is correct that this is Kevin, and that would just compound the embarrassment of this whole debacle. The MM / escalation threats really are low when you can't dispute anything he has said.
Night of the over inflated ego ;)
