Gay, It would also signal that the client is very happy with us if they are chucking extra work at us already. That is a big positive imo
Gay, an increase in scope of works would also help to explain why the contract didn’t get agreed in the expected 30 days. Maybe commercial issues around those expanded services are what MH went out there to discuss?
Need to remember it's not just about Ghana, and none of us know how much delay. Perhaps it will be just a few days. In the meantime could get SA update anytime which will dwarf ghana revenue once deals start arriving there
I agree gaynelly that the scope may have changed as the update talked about the activity and employees engaged/ inducted etc and the next sentence started with “therefore”..... which is a quicker way of saying “ and because of that”......so why would they say that unless something had changed from what was anticipated. Straw clutching but you need to here. PF in a pickle on timings as that is only concern, but if he is accruing revenue each day then all is good- maybe he can confirm this is not charity work. B
Aiming - pretty sure it reflects an expansion of scope. But wtfdik :-)
The river was lovely and cool, saw dippers and allsorts.
Nitey night...Tosh...cuddles xx
Yeah...? Go and do some proper work in the meantime!
The main issue for us doom mongers is that there is no commitment to a further update. Even if it’s just another holding message. At the moment we could be waiting days, week or months for an RNS.
To ALLOW for the definitive contract with MPS :- conclusive, final, ultimate; decisive, unconditional, unqualified, absolute, categorical, positive, definite to be finalised. In my view PF had agreed to provide the services to MPS whilst the final terms were being ironed out, 30 days seemed reasonable, however those terms can't really be ironed out without knowing the scale of how many personnel needed to be recruited/employed and trained by WSG, it is a new facility after all.
Btw Ian I do not resent your posts- I think you said it as you saw it during the Oman euphoria
good evening JS aka gaynelly,
thaat 13p offer on clossee is ccurriious.
may inddicate tommorro'ss oopening prrice will bee 13p offer aand bear rrun iss oveer altthough all my ttime ccharts sshhow prricee below t line. so not to buy, ttop up or aaveeraagee ddown -yet imo.
wwe sshaall sseee.
Ian your posts during the Oman/iran countdown encouraged me (and other mugs) to maintain the faith. You are a clever fellow- have you made any losses here?
But what if the Contract had landed the day after 18p and the traders had sold? Risk has to play a big part both ways!
good eveening Ian.B
Price is neveer irrevelent imo even for non shorrt teerm holders as wsg's volatility has shown since 17 june 5.7p to 18.45p and back dowwn to 11.47p in 1 montth are pretty heavy swings % wise.
£50k invested at say 7p was worth in eexcess of £100k when price hit 18.45 offer bid 17.45 but only £82k @ ttodays cclosing bidd of 11.5p thaat's a darn ssight loss of in excess of £18k from a few daays aago.
peeps holdding out for thaat crocck of gold and ignoring enormous swings in price action in the meantime are missing out imo.
river yarty myself, though maybe the thames with a brick tied to my ankles for a permanent dunk if PF doesn't pull his finger out soon :)
yeah Alan if the deal is still being negotiated and not signed they will be making amendments. They won't be waiting for it to sign itself will they. Fool.
“Whilst formal contracts have not yet been finalised, the Scanport-Westminster partnership is the sole appointed contractor for scanning operations at the new port and has established a full scanning operation both at the primary scanning stations at the import and export gates and also secondary screening services at the intensive search area for physical inspections; in total employing around 50 personnel with another 124 applicants undertaking induction and x-ray training by Westminster specialists. The LoI is therefore being extended for a further period to allow for the definitive contract to be finalised with MPS.”
All good too go. Wheres the panic.??
At the AGM held 18th June PI,s were told roughly 30-40 days. We are on the 17th July. Think i said in a previous post mid august is most likely so as to manage my own expectations. If its not sorted by mid sept I’d be unhappy - but too panic in mid July is just ludicrous, at least wait for the 40 day s before you throw your teddy out. Absolutely nothing has changed since you were ramping a week or so ago. The sp has fallen as CC are selling research has shown its because they are leaving aim. Nothing to to do with prospects here.
Some off your comments today are way off the mark. Premature is putting it politely. The doom mongers, vanders and foxy were always going to come out to play on an update rather than a signed deal.. watch when the price is rising we never see foxy et al in those periods.
U/T at 13p. Not sure why. Means it will open red tomorrow though. Sp right now is pretty irrelevant unless your trading or bought with credit - its where it is post sign off and onwards. All cc selling has done is flush out those short termers. Many with longer view have bought more today.
Aim/MM - thanks.
Anyone know why the price gapped up on the close?
I'm off for a dunk in the river Teign. Another RNS tomorrow? :-)
https://www.dpworldsouthampton.com/port-info/tariffs-and-charges
Here are the charges for Souhampton. AS you can see, the additional examination of cargo if called in for inspection is greater than the fee for x-raying the container due to having to conduct an in depth examination, so the same may apply with Tema, and therefore greater fees than just per TEU.
Gay: I don’t think there’s been any change to the process. They always scanned once (the one where the trucks drove through at a slow speed) and then had a second stage for the ones that failed the first scan and needed more intrusive inspection.
The one thing on this that I took from the RNS was that they seem to scan import and export.....so not just incoming containers I guess. To be that’s a positive for the potential revenue levels that could be achieved.
we wait for the (in my view) inevitable contract confirmation for Tema, I wonder what progress is being made with our KSA JV?
Hysterics here today.
'also secondary screening services at the intensive search area for physical inspections' - from today's RNS....increase in the scope of works provided = more dosh then? :-)
