What about that taxi ? ... must have nearly reached Ghana from Iran/Oman ... or wherever it was going round in circles.

From memory, we lost out in a three-horse race in Africa. Lungi was handed to us on a plate and would anyone else want to even consider a deal in Iran? So it's probably a bit of each yrab.
Ghana? As you know we have exclusivity which may mean the unluckiest company in the world suddenly struck it lucky as a lone contender.
Sometime in the next two weeks then?
Cue Foxy :)
Do we know if WSG win their contracts [with governments] from competitions or single source supply.... it would be nice to know how competitive they are with the likes of smiths detection equally it would be good to know their strike rate in competitive environments. EU [and Uk] operate competition is king principles…...so is that why we don't do much business on shore. B
All Ports? Ia that all aliasp? Wasn't the cost of Tema $1.5bn?
Tema contract signing is coming soon. Saudi contract/s will come out of nowhere. They've gone in and assessed some ports, going over them in detail analysing where they are deficient , where there are holes, physical areas that need upgrading, whole systems that may or may not be functional, training needs. They will have supplied detailed reports to their clients. Second round of meetings now. Probably another talking shop, perhaps some defined requirements and a request for hard quotes...who knows, this it will take a lot longer than we wish, a whole bunch of toing and froing.
Tema first and then anything from Saudi, Francophone Africa, Anglophone Africa, South America, more port scanners in Asia, more business in Ghana.....and I suspect a whole host of opportunities we know nothing about.
My reality says Tema and one, hopefully two more MSCs this year, lots of small and one or two large tech contracts. EBITDA positive for 2019. 2020 £15-20m revenue , £1-3 million net profit .
Black swans....more plagues.
Tema contract + Saudi news are the potential near term stimulants to SP
Anything else is an unexpected bonus
Sounds like container handling fees at Tema (and Takorandi) are finally agreed. Is that how others interpret it?
Spot on Feeks
I still think credibility would have been massively soaring already had it not been for Trump stiffing us on Iran
It would seem reasonable and logical (imo) that, given the supposed final hurdle that was the well publicised tariffs issue, there could be no final decision on deals with partner companies taking a tariff %, of which we were no doubt just one. Not trying to simplify contract closing and maybe there are/were other ancillary issues creating delay, but surely tariff finalisation had to be a major factor so, why would anyone expect too much info before that which could compromise contract confidentiality. Personally I'm surprised we even got the "February" mention at all so that at least gives me cautious optimism that February it is, be that 17th or any of the TD's after that. I'm more interested/excited at looking ahead to the prospects of KSA and elsewhere as for me TEMA is a given and I want to see the market's reaction to the next major deal.
so....do we think that the new tariffs going live today was the last hurdle to contract signature?. Maybe Pete added a week or 2 on for contract closure. With the rates being in the public domain, I can assume Pete can disclose more than just "several" in his metrics of contract magnitude or meaningfulness to revenues. After so much dangling it would be damp squid time if we had limited news. Equally we have seen mega headlines from pete that never lived up to the billing either, so time for Pete to get this message just right for 2 reasons...1) to give the sp a spring in its step and 2) to begin the journey of rebuilding his credibility. Lets see what happens next week. off out to batten down for the storm. B
Thank you Mos.

It was Djalminha who posted a link on 5th February about tariff increases.
Quote from that post

Cheers Big.
Has anyone got a link to the proposed 15th Feb tariff increases that was posted here recently?
Apologies, I can't remember who posted it.
