leading economists... SON NUMBER 1 IS ONE OF THESE....THEY ARE NOT GENIUSES! They have managed to get a whole lot of growth forecasts amazingly wrong thuout BREXIT(sorry but its the most immediate obvious example of economists screwups time and again). Don't confuse incredibly well paid occupations with genius, as an example I give you MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT.As one who favours a contrarian approach we're all looking for a rocket bounce here on consistent production. That depends on conversion into goods that in turn will need consumers, who will be released to buy worldwide
Dreaming of, I refuse to even consider such matters. The thought of even thinking like that makes me shudder at the moment.
In the meantime, the BBC have contacted leading economists and the experts think that the UK economy will contract by a lot for this quarter- these people, well they are......geniuses. I hope they are very highly paid for such gems.
In the meantime’s meantime, there’s all sorts of treatments and tests starting to come on line and numbers of infections are coming down in Europe. In the USA infections still on the way up, but saw on the telly one hospital had set up plexi walls with support machines ( ventilators etc) on one side and covid patients on the other in negative pressure areas. This meant staff looking after ventilators etc did not need to suit up as they were safe on the other side. Enabled far better use of time and ppe. Human ingenuity always finds ways to
Make things better. So things will get better and there could be quite an upturn if lots of different solutions fall into place- and the appear to be doing that in increasing ways.
This could be very good for us at Wres.
