I think what’s now been demonstrated speaks for itself.
Absolutely. Got some down time so happy to indulge. Much like share trading, choices. Safety, no I did not refer to an individual. I clearly state 'we' in the second sentence. Nor did I suggest choices were one, two, three or endless. I inserted no parameters at all.
Oldie, you spoke about making choices as an individual, Franny responded by saying that we all have choices, which implied individuals making choices. All n all I thought that was on track, so referring to it as a straw man arguement is just wrong to me. I have now diverted the argument about it being about your interpretation which could be construed as a straw man argument , which is fair enough- if allegations want to be made.
And giving everyone the benefit of your wisdom. Again.
Thanks for indulging me.
Franny, I never said that they didnt. I shall indulgd your strawman comment a little . Equally some people create more choices, and others diminish their choices. There are still choices. What are we talking, choices in the uk or the choice of a child in Chad having to chose between no water or water that the livestock use at the same time? It is all relative.
Some people have more choices than others Oldie.
No gold, but plenty of glod. Only source in the world.
Do we have any gold??? Been so long now I’d forgotten all about it wot with the excitement of LP in production and Regua an all coming on stream in ‘t summer (did he say which summer?) lol ooooh yes please Michael gold gold gold
Wish they put gold news out POG soaring atm
Hbob. As I have said before...and you commented on it. I am retired. I was in a position of retirement before I reached the big 40. I do still work. I choose to work, but then again every employee or employer has that choice. We all have choices.
Sorry, misunderstood the the team thang as I thought you were retired
Hbob. I never said they were pals, I dont mix work and pleasure. Familiarity breeds contempt.
For annual EU contributions for 2018: The net contribution figure is £11 billion and the adjusted figure for net flow was £8.6 billion. So for a week net contribution It’s £211.5 million or for adjusted with payments to UK business etc it’s a net £165 million. Them figures are from the Office for National Statistics. Still a considerable sum, part of which goes to French farmers et al and three parliaments and hangers on with noses in the trough. What’s left goes to various projects etc that some might consider worthy causes. What the it is, it’s not as much as bandied about, or as some might call it lies.
Update - we are now sending well over £400 million to the EU every week.
(they send some of it back as a rebate and spend some of it in the UK on their projects - so net it is probably about £240 million per week.)
Perhaps we could spend that on reforming the NHS so that it costs less and is more efficient.
Another piece of information - we have only ever voted for 4 Labour Prime ministers and only given them 28 years in office. 13 of that was for Tony Blair and he pretended to be Tory for most of those years.
In the past 50 years (current 5 year term included) the electorate have only voted in 1 Labour Prime Minister - Tony the hated Blair.
Conclusion - Socialism was an idea that the UK flirted with after two world wars jolted the working classes out of their subservience. On reflection they have decided to return to being a Tory nation as it's for the best. Keir Stamer will lie to his party and pretend to be left wing to get chosen as leader and then copy Tony Blair in steering for the middle ground and stealing the Tory clothes, hoping the public will see them as Tory with a bigger heart.
Lol...
Oldie... who told you and your pals that you are well educated and intelligent.... what posessesed you to claim that and against what benchmark??
Was that what swung the Cameron referendum... education and intelligence... is that your proposition. :-)
Is not from europe
STV, blimey you live on France, but knew about a bill board bus. However, not everyone in the UK was aware of it seems. With regard to labour failings, this was due to an epidemic of everyone having the same views as H Bob. Now I respect and like Bob so much do I need another one of my matts after him, but Oldie I think you give him too much credit.
As regards the disrespect felt for the intellectual capacity of the electorate, one should see Boris’s dad’s comments on breakfast TV, wow breathtaking contempt.
This is all strange to me, I thought Brexit and Tory victory was due to a whole raft of issues and a rather well targeted advertising campaign using slogans with little argument.
As to what happens, I truly hope Brexit is a success, we are where we are. In fact so much are we where we are, my chances of swanning off to sunnier climes for me end game are much reduced. Even if you can get planted elsewhere under current rules Healthcare charges would now be an issue if you return after six months from Europe as it now is from Europe.
Personally, I am negatively affected by Brexit because of other issues, so for me it looks like a disaster, I don’t give a political fig about it, but I does worry about myself.
In the meantime I have the saving grace of Wres success.
Realtime I’ve been out most of the day so only just read your response.
£60k down eh you must have a very high average as your posting history suggests that you were selling half of your 22 million, unless you bought more after selling ?
Anyway my paper loss is higher than that but that’s all it is, a paper loss that doesn’t become a real loss unless I sell, which I won’t at anywhere near these prices.
STV. I have no idea what you are on about. I have never had any interest in a bus based billboard. I have even called GIT out on it many times. I was commenting on Hbob's comment about knuckle daggers voting for Brexit. Hbob's attitude is classic remain, and is why the red wall fell. People were not being listened to. Red is dead. One red party will become three others types. The remainers have allowed the Tories to be in power for a decade plus. Not a problem for me, but bad for politics. One vote is one vote irrespective of education, age, intelligence, gender, wealth geography and so on. At least labour still have Diane Abbott, and she is great value for them because she works for 28 hours a day, 9 days a week for 426 days of the year.
How many times was he sacked for lying? and he's now in No 10. Unbelievable
The actual words written on the bus were:
“We send the EU £350m a week, let’s fund our NHS instead”
No lies, no promises, just a suggestion.
"facts and truth" Oldie? 350 mil a week for the NHS plastered over a bus. Yeah right Boris the Liar dum dum, dum dum, dum dum dum.
Hbob. As you know, I voted leave as did everyone in my team except one and they would have voted leave in a second referendum because of the remainers attitude. All well educated and intelligent. Doesnt fit your profile, but we can let facts and truth get in the way.
