Thank you, I believe that by far the majority of posters on this board are, like you, decent and caring.
He was diagnosed at 64.Exceptially fit man.Climbed all the Munroes,keen sailor and cycled across Europe when he had alzheimer's. His sense of direction was one of the last things to go but his communication was one of the first.An incredible man reduced to a shell of himself.

It’s a dreadful disease but the younger someone gets it the worse it is not only for the individual but also for their family and friends.
Sorry to hear about Mom. Sadly something I come across a lot, a dreadful illness that affects the who family. You are all in my thoughts

Unfortunately my mum's Alzheimer’s dementia is getting worse, which is sad to see, albeit that at 100 she’s not done to bad.
I'm looking forward to both.At least the seasons are a touch more predictable that WRES haha
