It wont go to 272 before the payout, i.e. a few more months yet
A premium for holding the shares to next year i would suppose
Why does the SP go below the acquisition price (272p)? Any thoughts?
That would be me Pmoran1969 - Luckily all my colleagues who were put at risk a few weeks back have new positions within the company.
I'm sure once Caesars sells us on we'll be in the same position again but for the time being I'm still in a job an enjoying it so can't ask for anymore than that
Well done PMORAN, I wish all my investments were as quick and successful as this.
I am still surprised that so many people expected a no vote, the stable share price of the last few weeks tells the story.
It's been good we should be celebrating after all we made money ?? enjoy and start looking for the next bet

Caesars added that it expects all necessary regulatory approvals to be obtained in the second quarter of 2021 and possibly as early as the end of March 2021.

Thanks for the info gewilla - some of my divi's that were reinvested are at a loss so I can write some of those off but thankfully all my main investments via the sharesaves are all well in profit.
Unfortunately (or as some may say fortunately) I don't have a wife so the gifting part is off the table....but as you say I aint gonna be broke if I have to pay some tax : )
Ulrik initially told us that this deal would complete H2 2021 at the earliest but I'm reading today Ceasars say potentially done by march 2021.
I was only in for pennies compared to most of you, and still think we're being screwed out of the future potential of the share, but a profit is a profit.
thanks for the chat on here, it's been an interesting read.
I’ve been with William hill a long time and I have made a tidy sum from this even though I’m still whinging to anyone who will listen!!
I’ve enjoyed this board it being one of the more sensible ones and wold just like to say thanks to the posters. I wobbled at times and was reassured by some of the comments on here even if it was just knowing that morbox or was it chancers I can’t remember was having the same doubts as I was.
Forgive me for not remembering which of you it is who works for William hill but I hope everything goes ok on that side of things when the dust settles.
I’m going to wait a few days to see where the sp settles and will do the same as a few of you Harv either done or doing. Sell what I need to to take a position elsewhere.
I’ll have to leave some shares in my account even if it’s just one share just because of the pleasure it gives me when I see the +198%!! The only other share that’s been as profitable for me in the last few years was AJBell where I opened a sipp just so I could buy at the ipo.
See you around and good luck to you all, even you owls whose be telling me I’m a greedy git for wanting more than £2.72 :)
AF, you have the option of cashing out in two financial years - Now and after 6th April 2021 - so giving you £24,600 of exempt gains. Plus if your gains exceed this, you could gift shares to your wife/husband Iif you have one) for them to use their £12,300 exemption in both years, plus, if you have any losing positions, liquidate them and offset any losses against WMH gains.
Don't ever worry about having to pay 20% tax. First it's half the higher rate income tax of 40%. Second, nobody ever went broke trousering a net 80% of the profits from a deal.
Let hope we can actually leave our homes in 2021 so we can enjoy some of the profits!
So many good stories and a lot of people very happy my first share I made just over 50k , such a buzz so looking for another one , iam in Cineworld see how that goes but deffo going into Caesars, good luck all
All the best Morbox, Still Holding, I want to switch off the lights
Sweet as Morbox,
I did 2 trades after the crash and averaged 81p - made a tidy 229.28+% on an 8K investment
Need to look at my various sharesaves to work out my averages there and my divi reinvestments (dataing back 7 years)
Will need to be sober for that
: )
Best result in a share purchase I’ve ever made! Gutted it’s over but made up for some real dog buys over last 3 years with a very tasty profit on top. Purchase price is crucial when buying in and pleased to say I got it all correct here. Good luck to you all boys , all my shares are in my Sipp & ISA so will hold until March hopefully when Caesars have said they hope to conclude the buyout.
Just doing my spreadsheet, and during my WMH campaign I did 82 deals since Jan 19 and my stats from HL are:
Highest price paid: 195.11p
Lowest price paid: 38.60p
Weighted average price paid: 139.48p
Highest price received: 280.96p
Lowest price received: 98.06
Weighted average price received: 161.50p
And you all the best for the future. Got in to Saga at the right time up 60%. Also putting profits into Directline hopefully they’ll pay a special div first quarter next year. I will be keeping an eye on WMH you never know what could happen in the next few months.
Good effort Morbox, great chatting to you.
Well, I’m out and moving on. I want to thank everyone on this BB for the great input over the last few years. Hope everyone made a decent profit, I did. May see you all around. One lesson learnt, if you invest in a company that you believe in (thechancer no pun intended) and there’s a stock market crash throw the kitchen sink at it. I nearly made a year’s salary on this so very happy. Hey and don’t forget even when the shares are delisted, you can still comment on WHM, see Flybe’s BB last post was funny!
All the best all.
Yes
Anyone planning on using their proceeds to buy into the new enlarged Caesars/WMH partnership? Currently trading at $65 per share with a 13.56bn market cap. An interesting proposition.
Yep agree with your views. Money to be made elsewhere! Onto the next now...
TheChancers - correct mate.
I'll be selling some now and hanging onto the rest and take the cash when ever the deal is closed I think.
Can't see it trading above 272p, need to ask yourself if you sell now can you make money elsewhere rather than sit on it till next summer and only get 272p, decision time...GLA, the WMH journey has been a blast, a welcome distraction to Covid over the summer.
Caesars played an absolute blinder on this.
