Possible meant 1.6p
16p a 5 bagger from here ??
maybe the decimal place was omitted and 16.00 p was meant jcampbell :-)...
I'd happily take a buy out for 10p, in truth
This is defo waking up today though.. I bought a small amount earlier.. and am starting to feel compelled to buy some more soon..
The one Financial Times analyst offering a 12 month price target expects Webis Holding PLC share price to rise to 1,600p in the next year from the last price of 2.05p. This is potentially a 78,000% increase!! Stupid question, but is this at all possible????
* Back in May 2018 Webis went from 1p to over 6p in less than a week and at the end of March 2021 we had a similar rise to over 6p, so yes anything is possible here.
* Check out the comments made by our chairman, Denham Eke, about Webis being a takeover target that I posted earlier this week. It's a cracking reminder of why we are shareholders in Webis because this will multibag significantly if we get either the sniff of or an actual merger or acquisition approach. 6p will be just the start ......
Good luck, Brighty
interesting rise today.. caught me a bit off guard, in truth.. still defo. don't have as many of these as I'd like to have.. will add cautiously as we go....
(Generally, under 3p feels cheap to me here though.. so still a fair amount of time for me to add more, incrementally, I'd hope..)
In the good old days it was not unknown for this to do a 100 to 200% rise on sentiment alone.
The November ballot was a rush job. The big player will need some local influence to gain any traction in the state California so I expect some kind of JV. I bought some of these at 6p a couple of years ago. It sat at 2.4 for about a year. It will go up from here in the next 6 months [imo]. GLA
Just shows it doesn't take a lot to move this share up
GLA
Biggish buy at 2.5p today (£5K) is a positive bearing in mind it was <2p for a long time not that long ago............
Hopefully not a pump and dump but someone in the know 'topping up'...
Steady as she rises. Had a good day on GDR today and hoping for the same sort of % success here in the coming weeks / months.
It's been steady at this price range for a while now. Guess the Californian stuff is bubbling under the surface still along with hopefully plenty of interest from other parties.
I have some shares 'worth' 10p from the BetInternet Days.............but you're right LeddachJack that this hit 8p some time ago and hit 5-6p for a period not that long ago.
One day one of the big boys will snaffle us up for a multiple of our current value and we'll all retire to the Caribbean unless of course the former board of WMH are in charge and then they'll sell us for £5million and get jobs on the board of the buyer (allegedly!).
6 or 7 years back ( or thereabouts) this hit 8p and surely the company is worth more now?
I need one ;-)
Been a while since we have seen one of those 100 percent plus super WEB spikes that it was known for. Hopefully one is just round the corner!!
Good post Brighty, fair play..
The market cap is meaningfully under 10m gbp currently here too.. which, all things considered, feels very low to me.. so significant room for this to rally, whatever, from such a lowly s/p level.. imho..
(I've kept a core holding here for years - alongside range trading some too - as there is huge potential here, one way or other, imho.. and I may well start adding to that core holding soon)
Yes and it's also worth pointing out the very upbeat messaging by our Chairman, Denham Eke, regarding companies approaching Webis about:
* "strategic alliances"
* "mergers" and
* "even outright acquisition opportunities"
Mr Eke's briefing last year to share holders was very intuitive. Check out the following soundbites:
* "Non-USA and certain European companies are experiencing severe regulatory issues, as well as margin problems, and appear almost desperate to be a part of the developments in the USA".
* "As a result, it should come as no surprise that WatchandWager continues to be courted by large corporations, and indeed smaller operations with a view to software deals, strategic alliances, mergers or even outright acquisition opportunities".
* "The Board assesses each opportunity on a case-by-case basis. It should be noted in the majority of instances, the Board takes the view that "they need us more than we need them"
* "We continue to protect our USA licensed presence as a core asset".
* "We are very aware of the increased consolidation in the industry and the economies of scale of strategic partnerships".
*" We will keep shareholders aware of any meaningful strategic developments with the Group, most likely in the USA, but possibly with international partnerships"
This screams M&A activity to me. Will we hear something on this soon.....
Good luck, Brighty
Over 2p paid hopefully the start of things
A cheeky 1k top up for me.
Good article

Continue to develop the business on the ground , Something has to happen at some point in my view
Yes interims due no later than the end Feb 2023 and I'm pretty positive about them. Arizona Downs still delayed with the hope of getting approval by the end of March 2023 now, meaning we won't go live until the back end of the year. This is a real slow burner but I'm hopeful we will be 100% up on the current price by the end of 2023.
Yes, a very good size buy at the close yesterday. There is still very minimal buy and sells going on with this share, I think this is down to the fact that people are holding for a significant pick up in the share price. This stock is a buy to nothing, the potential upside far outweighs any downside. Minimal good news should at least get us back to the mid 3s and any significant news could get us back to the 4/5s.
Onwards and upwards.
Decent size buy at the end of play today ??
Hopefully a better set of interims than the £70k loss for H1 last year and news update.
Any decent news should see us move back into the 4’s/5’s!?
