I'm not expecting too much tomorrow. Name change is really a housekeeping exercise. DS in any event is, I suspect, fully occupied by events at AAOG at present.
As the previous poster says next accounts not due til December 2019, so a while to wait til then.
But even at June 2018 accumulated losses stood at £6.3m, add in the tax advantages of the losses which subsequently caused the collapse of the Widecells business, plus the value of the main market listing and that alone justifies most of the current market cap.
Great things to come here, but I don't think it will be tomorrow.
You never know however.....
The accounting reference date was changed to 30 June 2019 so you won't get accounts for a while.
WC - The point is though. Until the vote (or the result of) they can't officially apply to companies house and the exchange. They also need to present audited accounts before the name change is signed off (which I suspect they have been working on). I'd be surprised tomorrow, and I can't wait to be proved wrong here (for all out benefits) , if there is much more than an acknowledgement of the vote results and a dry update. Let's see.
Hopefully they will kick off tomorrow with an RNS and put everyone in a good mood going into the GM. Also, by holding the meeting in an easy to get to location and a reasonable late morning time, they are not trying to dodge the bullet , like certain companies I could mentioned (*cough* ALGW)
What better way is there to formally launch a company & realise it’s full potential than with news of contract/s?
to me why they've been quiet lately...
"Executive Chairman, David Sefton, said: "We have made excellent progress in restructuring the business which, when complete and combined with the approval of the proposed name change, will enable us to direct our energies towards a formal launch of Iconic Labs and the realisation of its full potential. "
GM RNS dated 24th June 2019
There's little point in saying too much if the name change hasn't even been approved yet.
tumbleweed - FTSE investors don't seem to be intrested
I'm not saying they can't talk about signing off a contract. I'm only saying they can't get into the specifics yet. They announced the £1 million contract with a financial firm, but not who their client is. From their interviews on Proactive Investors, this would appear to be the case, that they can't talk about who their client is at the moment.
Wild_Card - They have LTD companies now so they should be able to service any contractual situation (which is why I think they were set up for that purpose) . The 'no contracts before name change' situation is being used as a bit of an excuse as how could they announce the £1m contract then as a few have pointed out.
Most likely they're only waiting on the name change to occur and nothing more before spilling the beans. Anything they legally sign off has been through using their brand, Iconic Labs (not WDC) so makes sense that they haven't or can't get into the specifics at the moment. At least we'll find out tomorrow for sure!
Things that would be good to know.
1) Lead time on the name change and PR once name change has been sanctioned. Companies house and Exchange process
2) Shareholders register. Where is it?
3) Proposed structure of the board for Iconic Labs PLC
3) Contracts update and clarification of client for £1m contract. (Several in documentation stage 8 weeks ago - what happened?)
4) Stemcell business sale, any overhang from legacy now accounts should have been audited.
5) Introduce IR function for better investor interactions and comms.
If they only show up and give a quick. All proposals passed proclamation and naff off quickly I think that will go down like a lead-balloon.
I'm surprised we've seen nothing today in the way of some news as currently the silence is deafening .
hey big ten , why don’t you catch the pig and cook it with your fish?
as I said there is yellow purple spotted pig flying in the air
oh look there is yellow purple spotted pig flying in the air
Could be a blue day today ahead of imminent news
With news incoming this will fly.
Wild-Card ... well said. Spot on !!
My mouth is salivating at the thought
Another day done, I can almost taste the juicy rns's that are coming
go fry away then.. plenty more fish in the .. err.. sea
The name change is significant for the simple fact it won't be WDC anymore! We can't know how significant the company will be yet in relation to share price movement until their story develops, but with the soft launch of their company securing a £1 million contract within an area they haven't negotiated before, was significant enough to get a lot of investors interested and quite rightly so. If no contract news is released on their first day of trading, that just means they can't talk about it yet, but we do know they have contract news to share, so we'll be hearing plenty on that sooner rather than later. Also, EHGOS agreed to lock in their 5% because they no doubt see a significant return of value on their investment here.
if no effect on share price for a good few months then other fish to fry with funds
you think they are just going to change the name then nothing? give it a few month bud. Things will seem much clearer
that is not going to enhance the share price , more jam in never never land
Lol... is that -6zeros degrees?
no different to summer here then ;-)
