Ouch!! I thought 200+ quid loss was bad. Sorry for your loss...
Spank.the.Monkey if you have a Million and don't care go for it. other wise leave it well alone
Is it worth a punt as a newcomer?
Sorry for your loss. The expectations for graphene and its spin offs seem to be less realistic than first thought.Perhaps not in terms of scientific advancement but translating the process in to a profitable entity. Is it just a case of waiting to get the stuff accepted by the construction industry , pot hole fillers and other sectors where the volume potential exist or is the wonder material dressing a king with no clothes on!
Even DirectaPlus with EU help is struggling to convince shareholders and potential investors it’s the miracle the world needs.
My 26.6k investment is worth £16
Feel embarrassed I fell for all the tripe !!
Sometime simple words get the point across
Very profound.
VRS is crap then
Loving the energy over on the other board. The ‘realists’ (spread betters) getting a proper froth on because someone’s had the audacity to match their posting frequency with a more positive take.
The scare tactics are rife: ‘my contact in the Civil Service’, or ‘passing it to my good pals’ in market governance.
Just a friendly reminder that if someone needs to post multiple times a day - not once, not a few times a week, but every day since at least 2017 they are the ones putting serious time and energy into their subscription based model.
Also remember that Tom Winnifrith is a self confessed climate change denier and Brexiteer. Whatever your views on the latter (and you’d be hard pressed to argue for a positive impact on UK science), innovative science and denying science don’t make for happy bedfellows.
Throw in the ‘jilted lovers’, former fanboys who’ll not waste a minute of their time in rubbishing any hope of salvaging the company (might they have hedged their prior misfortunes with spread bets? Who knows).
Remember - AIM performance is about confidence. Much more so than the main market. Stand back and consider hype cycles. The ‘realists’ were duped and there’s no coming back from it. It doesn’t suit their narrative (or over ebullience) that there will ever be anything to recover.
All of this is psychological bias. Any of us could have sold out. But selling is hard - especially with the seductive lure (and disclaimers) of forward looking statements. Over exposing yourself is easy. Now they want the confirmation of total destruction - because being duped is an easier pill to swallow than the one about ‘couldn’t press sell’ and ‘couldn’t risk manage my % portfolio exposure’.
So, if you're new: Subscription based ‘sheriff’, people constantly out to rubbish a company and science denial are never going to mix with disruptive technologies. Ask someone’s mate in government!
Seen all this before. Companies 'X'ing stuff that never amounts to anything. But NASA!! Will see I guess.

Anyone know how long the recent placing will last?
They say this in results
Our current projections are suggesting that this will be in the second half of next year. In the meantime, we will still need funds to bridge us to the point that we are cash generative
Https://twitter.com/versarien Collaboration with NASA could be interesting!!
Thanks for that,lse99. much appreciated.
Item 29. Page 65. Annual report 2023
Thanks for that,lse99. im afraid I've looked for that statement, but without success. any chance you could point out to me where it is, as that would be greatly appreciated.
The company have taken legal advice and due to the expected outcome no provision for any liability is required. In other words Ricketts is onto plums. It'll be thrown out of court (if it even gets there).
Well that is the question dandaman. there does seem a very different feel now under the new ceo.i thought the RNS was well written and professional, although the omission of any reference to the ricketts claim does seem a little questionable, particularly as it was deemed to necessitate an RNS on receipt. the claim is a complete unknown at the moment (unless anyone has any more detail) and i doubt ricketts will be holding back on anything he thinks he can get.of course the claim may prove to have little or no substance or easily rebutted, but atm it is a big unknown imo. i have retained my investment here, although it is now pretty much worthless, and will be monitoring developments to see if they start to suggest an opportunity to average down, but will need to see something fairly positive and of substance before doing so.
Having sold out on the share price crash is there an opportunity to buy back in or is the whole business built on straw despite the efforts of the new CEO. We have a possible claim by Neil R as well.
I've been looking back through RNS upto September 2023 end. It's hard to tell just how bad the results will be compared to the previous year.
Thoughts anyone?
Accounts due by end of month. I hope there's not another delay.
Looks like the overhang may have gone
B3ast, Don't you worry your pretty little face over it... We're all big boys/girls here and take our chances on the vagaries of AIM and the stock market in general. You save your ideas for your own personal investments and don't lose any sleep over the rest of us and ours. Confident that VRS will rebound here. Good weekend to one and all!
This stock was called years and years ago, why anyone still owns it i've no idea!
Here we come
Expecting huge buyers life je yesterday again soon.💯💯💯💪💪
Yesterday brought a mix of positive developments and high drama in the world of day trading and financial platforms aimed at making money.
On the bright side, the company secured the necessary funds to sustain its turnaround strategy, with indications that the strategy is indeed yielding results. The latest results affirm the effectiveness of their turnaround efforts, with hints of more updates on the horizon.
Personally, I find investing in a company that's at the bottom and undergoing a revitalization more appealing than one that's already established. There's a sense of dynamism and excitement in the process of transformation.
However, it's important to remember that all this positivity could easily revert, potentially leading back to square one, which isn't a massive leap, and could leave your account looking less than ideal.
As always, my posts aim to ward off any speculative behavior.
