To Digger and Izstar here's to our meet up in May. Good health to everyone who made this a great board. It is a pity that it was failed by the investment. The gravy train continues to rattle along.
Sorry guys I only check in occasionally but it goes without saying that I trust you are enjoying a peaceful time and that 2021 goes well - looking forward to meeting you both later next year
All the best
Xx
Brilliant look on the board Ist of April and hopefully you will see a plan to meet up middle to end of May. Hope you and your family have a safe and very healthy and happy 2021. Izstar wishing you and your family a healthy and happy Christmas and a prosperous 2021.
I live in Wiltshire, so London / Birmingham are only a couple of hours away; I would be happy anywhere within a couple of hours.
I have an II ISA account which is hood value for US trades.
I hope you all manage to have an enjoyable and safe Xmas and a much better 2021.
% million 10 million and rest accessible on certain clinical goals being reached.roughly speaking. But for commercialisation costs is my read of it . See what the price does. This could indicate to me what I said all along and that is that it is effective in treating pre and post covid patients. Would not be surprised if they are already not looking at makingenisfenterine available to run for covid patients from as early as first quarter next year when we are expecting results. GLA. I shall follow and may buy some on the nasdaq. May join interactive investor like my mate and set up a sipp with them. He said it was easy enough. Will keep a beady eye on the progress.
fantastic Digger. Look forward to it and check back in first of April have you any preference on the cities that were mentioned in previous post of mine as Izstar and I are good for any of the mentioned.
Rhodi, Izstsar I am also happy to meet in May subject to Covid. Good luck all and stay safe.
Nothing new and the usual jam tomorrow and worst of all no enthusiasm, totally dead presentation of old and Webinar has done 5% for the sp. (Probably more than it desserved in honesty)Struggled to stay awake to watch it all. Lets hope they do not employ the sales team (yawn). How long can they drag this out for. (Probably 3 years for when the money for salaries runs out. All the above my opinion but Izstar think you may have saved yourself from another 3 years of torture. LOL.
https://www.lse.co.uk/ShareChat.asp?ShareTicker=VRP&share=Verona-Pharma-Plc
That is a very good point as ever Rhodi - I’ll do just that - really sad way to end over a decade holding these shares - see you in May
Fully understand your decision on principle. Keep all your documents as you may find you have a case against Verona Pharma or infact the UK AIM governing body (more likely)that allowed it to go ahead imo without a vote or giving investors in sipps ample time to convert. I would certainly hold all correspondence etc etc and print out the rns that vrp issued etc etc. Good luck till we meet in May
All those interested check back to the board on the Ist of April. I will arrange venue . Any of those with specific city preference from my previous post please stat as will go with the majority.
See you next may rhodi for sure
All done on vrp - lost so, so much - appreciate likely to flourish but can’t invest morally given what the leadership team did
All the best and will look forward to seeing you and a few other LTHs in May
fabulous I hope some of the other investors are up for it. Keep an eye on thread Early April and will try to sort details for get together. Izistar my friend who was on business eventually shifted cash only into ii and bought some shares only yesterday on the Nasdaq for his Sipp and they worked out with exchange rate etc etc to the equivalent of 54p per VRP old shares. In case you are interested. You may get them even less. if VRNA price drops from current levels. He said interactive investor were brilliant and have an offer on ÂŁ100 towards trades till end of Dec I seem to recall. Check it out. Hope it may be of use. He did it all online. 3 weeks from start to purchase. Hope all are well. I do not really like giving tips but anyone interested please look at TERN. Seems to be positioned right place right time unlike Verona Pharma where I got in 10 years to early. But DYOR, just a pointer nothing more.
I am in - all three potential places I can make rhodi and May sounds about right
Did they thank all the uk shareholders who had supported them forover ten years and who have now either lost the tax advantage of holding the share in a n isa or the many sipp holders who have had to sell out completely as the new ADS could not be held by many of the top sipp companies. Disgrace by the company andthe uk share governing body who should be bought to account my friend is raising it probably i think with the FCA.
Anyhow on a positive note can all those holders that may wish to meet up for an afternoon or even an overnight stay please let me know which main city suits best and food preference after a couple of pubs maybe. I was thinking along the lines of either london birmingham or liverpool. I can do all and it would be good to meet up. food wise indian or english restaurant or good pub restaurant. Happy to stay over and say farewell after a full english. those interested let me know and I was thinking end of May.
Its almost over here, then, I can't imagine that the BOD are going to improve anything just by going NASDAQ.
My shares are worth approx 10% of what they cost me, that goes back to 2007.
I was a professional before retiring, and , if I had acted in the way that the BOD has been doing, I would have expected claims against me for gross incompetence, by the day.
This has been a complete disaster, and has continued so to be in trying to convert to ADS.
Computershare seems to be vying with VRP for the title of 'biggest bunch of merchant bankers in the finance industry' , they even managed to return some of my info to another shareholder, who called me to let me know what had happened!
I now have Hargreaves on it, and its like night and day, but, at the end of that day, I am still holding shares in the most worthless outfit in the country !
I spoke to a gentleman at Bank of Scotland Sharedealing in the middle of last week as there had been no sign of activity on my VRP shares in the account. Thing were supposed to be happening on the 19th.
He advised me that there had been some delay in the ADR conversion process but that matters were in hand.
I have also noticed that my VRP shares have been removed from my account so I imagine things will be straightened out in the next few days. Good luck!
Anyone with Halifax know what state of play is? Noticed that shares have been removed from ISA account, but no sign of them in standard account yet.
Can't seem to get through on phone at the minute, anyone heard anything from them?
Hi
I also picked up your point regarding the primary end point from the rns released regarding trial.
It seemed to me that the FDA have for some reason made the sucsess of the trial more achievable for vrp...... i also think the delisting from the aim is in preperation for forthcoming news regarding covid trial and ongoing copd trial .
AIM is regarded by investors as a form of gambling and to be listed on Aim going into the future for verona would be a hinderance .
Aim has served its purpose but the reality is its time to move on and target usa market without the baggage of being an AIM listed company .
Imho. Of course
excellent that you are staying in as someone has to get the rounds in. In all seriousness good luck Digger01 and all others.
I am up for that pint as we have been on this downward rollercoaster for a very long time!
I am hanging in there and converting to ADS’s, I have lost so much, I may as well run with it. I still believe that the big investors will have done their due diligence and they have agreed the pathway with the FDA, which are all positives. I also note that the primary end points are related to Peak FEV and patient well being, both of which have always been consistent in previous trials. I also held another company which unfortunately followed the same “jam” tomorrow path and also delisted from Aim, (lipoxen which became Xbio on NASDAQ) again losing 000s, however, when the SP moves on NASDAQ, it really can, so it you are lucky and watchful, the SP can easily double or triple in one session. I managed to get about 60% of my investment back when the SP moved from $2 to $8 and within 2 days it was back under $2.
We will see ! Good luck all.
Let’s choose a date say in May where long sufferers here can meet for a pint in London - hopefully by then those who continue to hold we can celebrate their success at that time
I thought that you would sell the investment in barclays sipp and switch cash to a pension provider that could deal in nasdaq like ii. I thought you would continue to hold and saddened if you are totally out as was hoping that when it comes good you would buy me a pint or two and we could celebrate your success and that of others. Perhaps we should go for that drink anyway. I have another investment that I am hopeful will perform as I originally thought vrp would. They have basically escaped a class action which in my belief what would have happened had it come to it's natural conclusion in this county on aim. Imo many holders shafted but great that Karma will work it's magic in the long run. As you say it was a cynical reason that they left aim and certainly not for the reasons that they stated imo. I even question if the offices were even open or occupied. Perhaps investors were getting to close to the mark on what was imo really happening, as in very little for what they paid themselves. Question whether the lights had already been switched off long ago.
