Robina, Why apologise, If everybody did what you have done, then the share price would rocket.
No - red day. But in a moment of complete madness I've reinvested. Sorry everyone.
Power of FTSE and Dow Jones, crushed most shares into bargain share price region.
Just had a look on the 15 mins chart that most Day Traders use. VOD is below RSI 30 for most of the day, rare occurrence.
Hope the momentum gains upwards next week with ex-div date approaching...
Hi, mole-man. I think it was just one poster who had a pop at you. I suspect he has a problem with anybody who is even slightly intellectual! Shame on you though for miss spelling affected! Go to the back of the class!! OK, so your not exactly vodafone Amigo material, but I think your o.k.!? Not like that s.i.d.i. guy who keeps upsetting everybody on the GSF board!
Yup mole_man, I borrowed part of your post to save my time typing it again since it's the answer Welsh was looking for.
And I see someone came up here like the angry bird. No one is hogging the BB mate. It's only because no one else was here to join in the conversation. So, we Seemed to have talked a bit more. You are welcome to say anything. No one will stop you talking but again whatever we said will have zero effect on the SP. So please don't take it too seriously.
Think I have talked enough garbage today. Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.

Sorry if some people don't like to read opposing views, but I offer up some opinion to help potential investors looking for a safe div for their pension at least think and look alittle deeper.
I see very little offered from the bulls to back up their case. Hope that it goes to £2, but no real opinion on why it can.
I don't watch bloomberg TV but do absorb from many many resources, and reading of course. I always always recommend you start with 'Intelligent Investor' It's the book from the man that made Warren what he is. You will apply the various ideas to VOD as you read through and see what I see, then perhaps we can have a discussion.
I will not trot on thanks.
PS, I notice someone below copy pasted one of my posts, so someone is listening.
Yup, that's true robleo. Can't agree more with you.
Hey sidi, and everyone, its only keyboard stuff guys, would we say the same things face to face? possibly not, better to read the crap some of us post, than log in and find a blank screen , there's much worse things happening out there in the real world believe me
I was being labelled as a ramper and a clown on the GSF board because I said 'any news yet' more than once and predicted the SP's next trading range will be 109/110p when it was at 107.5p. Then I said the next target will 111p when it has reached 110p. I was furious and retaliated but I realized that I was partially to blame for the unpleasant situation there because of my hot temper. Therefore I ate the humble pie and apologized to everyone this morning......... hahahaha
Hey amigo Dan, good evening. It was joking of course all because of moke_man was being attacked by Narcus and backed by couple of other posters this morning.......lol
s.i.d.i. With all respect, why did you say mole-man had custard pie on his face? You where joking of course, but I didn't get the joke. What is all this sudden attack on mole-man, so he misspells the word affected (ref Narcus). Come on you lot, we are above all this rubbish surely? Anyway, good luck all Amigo's, lets keep it friendly? Even to the yanks, please?
You are welcome,
sick and tired of reading his epistles of smug ridden doom. Our resident "expert" in doing down anything about VOD also does not know the difference between "effected" and "affected" and tried to be super clever again but his use of the word "effected" in that sentence is incorrect.
It looks like our in-house investment guru mole_man has got custard pie on his face........lol
I also ate an extra large size humble pie myself on the GSF board and I didn't waste those custard pie on my face. I ate them all.......... hahahaha
Thank you Narcus!
I said I wasn't going to post but I still read the posts here for a bit of comedy and a suspension of belief. Chief amongst these is arch bear Mole Man. This is a man who doesn't own a single share in Vodafone but after his morning shift watching Bloomberg likes to come on here and tell us what we are all doing wrong. Vodafone will be extinct by sat phones/Vodafone should have more streaming/ Vodafone can't raise it prices Vodafones divi should be removed (we all know what would happen to the shares then ) It's a race to the bottom etc etc YAWN. In actual fact Three/BT/EE have all raised their prices this year massively more than inflation. Why are you even on this forum? Are you some sort of arch Super Share Consumer who's lifes work is to stop Danny spending more of the farm on VOD? What exactly is your point? We know you don't like Vodafone as an investment so why don't you trot on somewhere else. It is tiresome and tedious
Yes Dan other sectors/companies are effected negatively by inflation. Most of them probably, but if they have a strong moat within their sector, they can survive it. VOD has no moat when it comes to pricing though, so if a competitor with less debt to service does not raise prices, VOD will find it hard to do it before them.
I have no VOD to dump. I just like to point out the counter view to the safe div philosophy, having got burned myself some years back.
robleo. Sorry mate, but do you really think you will get an intelligent answer to that? Worth a try I guess. Many have tried before, & failed!
Hi Mikey, did you invest your vod money into anything else, or have you banked it
mole. You talk about inflation as if nobody else apart from vod is affected. Surely all sectors are cut throat, & most are affected by inflation. Why do you single out vod?? If vod does have a fixed low % on its loans,(ref to pre existing bonds) (fleccy) then high inflation is good, surely? ---mole, I am not trying to pump vod, but I sometimes think you are trying to dump vod. All respect though, as I always value your opinion. Bad day today though of course, for all vod Amigo's. Just don't buy for the soon to come divi, buy for the med/long term divi's.
High inflation would be bad for VOD as it's input costs inflate, but it has little power to raise product prices by the same, the telecomms sector being a bit cut throat as they race to the bottom to get customers.
Just got an email from VOD trying to give me a years free broadband to sign up for 3 years of business broadband.
"Inflation. How do we think VOD will be affected, if at all, by the increasing inflation rate?"
Corporate bond interest rates tend to fixed at issuance, and don't change up to maturity. Index linked Gilts, and similar, are affected by the current interest/inflation rates, but that's different. If VOD needed to take on new debt, that may be higher, but pre-existing bonds are unaffected.
Gary, Just to add, I don't have an unwavering faith in vod as 2 things worry me, 1 is as I said before about the deb't % & the other is this buy for the divi. I hold vod long/med term for the divi, as it suits me to get a good income without having to sell shares, but to buy for the divi short term is total folly, as we all should know by now, the sp will fall by the divi on ex divi day.
Gary, I think the debt is a worry, but if vod make more profit by investing than the % they pay on the debt, than that is good. The problem I have is trying to work out how much % vod pay on there debt's. Some on here in the past have said it doesn't matter, which is nonsense, of course it matters, so if anybody on here can work out what on average vod pays % on it's debt, that would be very helpful. I haven't heard about a rise in inflation, what have you heard? Cheers Gary, & good luck, Just don't blame the yanks please, any idiot can do that!
Evening posters & good to read that Dan still has unwavering faith in VOD what with his recent 40K buy.
Inflation. How do we think VOD will be affected, if at all, by the increasing inflation rate?
We carry a lot, nay gargantuan debt & companies with large debt piles don't do well in an inflationary environment.
I ask as I am interested in other posters take on this. My own feeling is that this will weigh heavily on the SP.
Back to the vodafone we all know so well - finishing on the lows of the day
