Not a chance it hits 50p…
Has pretty much bottomed out in my view.
Debt pile has been high but becoming far more manageable esp after Spain, Italy, UK merger and IoT spin out.
Fair Share will lead to some mid term changes as not been sustainable for telcos to carry OTT data consumption - the regulators / EU will need to back network providers or accept potential acquisition from afar (and they’ve already warned about the security risks there).
We hear a lot about stocks doing better stateside than here but the reverse applies to VOD's US listing. It always gets hammered more on the Nasdaq, which drags it down on the FTSE too. Maybe they should suspend it's dual Listing.
Fleecy, stfu 🤣
Jax yes it is high, just not quite as high as before, but not dropping as quicky as expected, that's why they have reversed the decision on cutting interest rates
As for vod and bt very similar, they have not been rewarding shares to be invested in fact they have been capital destroying shares, and i'm not convinced they ever will be, for myself i'm just hoping they can at least make some gains from this current very low sp, so i can sell up without such a large percentage loss, thankfully i have not over committed to this share, but saying that nobody invests in a share to lose money, it is what it is i'm afraid
It may get better of course, but it wont happen overnight for sure
Robleo - but inflation isn’t high (well apart from gobble gobble land) and nor are interest rates high.
Cut that divi and the sp will tank instantaneously
Don’t cut the divi and the sp will keep falling but not as much imo
This has 50 written all over it short term
Never fails to disappoint this one, maybe a complete dividend cut would be the best way of getting this out of the 60s&70s
It looks like it's going to be a very long journey back to a £1 again
when you get into bad times like high inflation and interest rate rises,Its usually the company's with heavy debt that struggle the most, let's see if there's any improvement by the summer
best of luck all
"Followed by a list of failed CEOs to compare - most of which were her predecessors."
Jax, will you be followed by a list of other failed wind-up merchants?
This happens with every investment, from football clubs spending big on top players, to biggest behemoth companies for growth.
Not good with M/cap of €20bn and net debt of €36.2bn! Shocking…
This is the fault of sadly the previous CEO
When everyone thought after VODA sold of the Crown Jewels back to VZ and they could use funds to invest left right n centre.
So wrong …
Word of warning, never invest in 6% chips unless you understand pitfalls.
Hope they totally haircut the dividend in half .. AGAIN.
In and out shake it all about Avi - you must be down though? But with dosh to average down?
48p sees MDV lose 50% since CEO became permanent.
Just around the corner and will happen within her 12 month tenure - I can see the headline when she is sacked.
‘MDV sacked after share price sinks more than 50% in less than 12 months in charge’
Followed by a list of failed CEOs to compare - most of which were her predecessors.
Jax you must be loosing money hand over fist after buying back 80% of your holding after xdiv recently. See your posting history.
So far 65p was the lowest. It will soon break that too. Don't know what will be the share price when they will announce sacking of MDV. She cannot hang around very long when her plans are working. I think once she leaves and new CEO joins probably there will be some chances of turnaround for Vodafone.. By that share price would have touched below 60p I think.
Really test that low 6 and perhaps sneak into the 5s
But what about the 58% dividend yield mole man
And MDV will get em out for new shareholders
I has put my first deel togever today and putt £500 on the nations favorite bank, the blacke horse.
I am sure you is all wishing that I does well.
Have a good read of the posts hear, and the balance sheet, then decide if you want to join the agony.
I have a long barge pole if you want to borrow it.
In my opinion the investigation into the merger of Vodafone and Three might partly explain today’s performance. Wall street is obsessed with China.
I guess only the rose tinted glasses lot take part in the share prediction game now

Hi,
Been watching these on and off, genuine questions
What’s the view on the dividend being held ?
Looks cheap IF they can continue paying out ?
Do we think the dividend cover is sustainable?
Thanks in advance
Reinvested my divi today 68p
Long term bond yields are running up as the market absorbs the higher for longer rhetoric. Yield focused div stocks like VOD do suffer.
Mickey 89, politness costs notthing...
Does this Jax Chap own any VOD shares? I presume this has been asked before , someone indulge me.
Oh dear
Why are you bothered - like you say you dont invest in shares
