Hi guys ..
I'm still sticking with 1.27 .....
Hi Dan, of course i will continue it, holiday was great thanks, just what we needed great weather and hotel and some time to relax and enjoy life, just a one hour delay going out and bang on time for the return flight, most shares are dropping in price right now, but vod has been holding up quite well considering all what's going on, it's time for just collecting dividends at the moment Dan, and if an opportunity is there maybe top up and increase the yield, hopefully we will get rewarded when things get better
Hope all goes well with yours
Hi rob, Sorry about all that nonsense, but I hope you will continue your Friday close, as I think it is good. How was your holiday?
Dont need carers Dan - do you ? .
Mikey. You say you would love to know how I think anything you say would have any effect on the share price? I don't think anything you say would have any effect on the share price. Why would it? Some might think why do I bother responding to your nonsense posts, & the answer is, I am trying to get some kind of intelligent response from you, instead of your constant groundhog moronic posts. Think, (or get your care'rs) to think before you respond please?
Mikey why don’t you just leave?
Why on earth you post your drivel here?
I don’t go post on shares that I don’t like.
In other words - get a life loser!!!
A tie between Gary & Sid at 126.1. Sorry rob about the sp not reaching 1.40. I go on holiday for 1 week on Sunday, so some ramping needed in the meanwhile?!. Many on here have been very positive lately apart from the usual Nick Read haters. An alternative to Nick might help? I hope you had a great holiday. I will go 1.28 for next Friday close by the way. Cheers mate.
Hahaha so I am trying to destroy shareholder value - would love to know how you think anything I say would make any effect on the shareprice . And as for one runs vodafone - not sure he is actually running vodafone - more like he is the one destroying shareholder value !!!!
Why should vod follow the F.T.S.E. ? Sometimes it does, & sometimes it doesn't. Vod is not a groundhog. As for Nick Read repeating himself about his aim being to increase shareholder value, reminds me of someone who constantly repeats them self trying to destroy shareholder value. What is the difference between the two? One runs vod, & the other is a sad ex vod employee who owns one share in vod, & hates Nick Read. Sour grapes comes to mind.
And here was me thinking you were talking about the SP.
Market goes up - VOD goes nowhere
Market goes down - VOD outperforms/loses less
On a day when the FTSE up like a treble 20, VOD SP not moved - typical
He's back.
Well what an exciting day today - yawn . No doubt at the finish we will be in the red despite the Ftse having a great day . I saw today somewhere Read says his objective is to get value to shareholders . He has been saying that ever since he took over !!!
why more money in india?
Fellow posters Porsche is a pathetic child trapped in an adults body, definitely of little if any intelligence, I think the latter. Anyone who takers a blind bit of notice anything that he / she says needs to go have a lie down.
so if Porsche has a debt of 500K on his house that is valued at 750K, leaves him with equity of only 250k.
However, this is probaly ok in his mind. Double of debt vs equity.
But never mind!
As long as one can criticise others and not look at oneself actually to improve his/her own life. How about taking a plank out of your own eye first?
It is easy to judge VOD ceo - yet none of us can ever do what he has achieved....lol lol little kids think they know better.
Anyway, looks like my guess for this week of 127p is close! Let's see
He says the shares/company is valued at less that the debt. Vod's deb't is about 1/2 it's value. The value of vod is its maket cap, + deb't. Vod's market cap is less than it's deb't, but the market cap has already factored out the deb't. It's like if you own a house that is worth 900k, but owe 500k on your mortgage. Your house is still worth 900k, but your investment, 900k minus your deb't 500k is 400k which is less than your deb't, but your house is still worth 400k more than your deb't. Of course we all know that vod's deb't is a concern, & of course time will tell if it is a problem.
Vodafone has become stronger I guess lately... should SP increase now.
another clueless deramper called porsche.
Sounds like you cannot afford the porche anyway.
And it is very amateurish to lump all ftse100 stock in a same lump as if VOD is same as wpp or itv.
Please educate yourself.
You probably don't even know the dividend yield on vodafone shares do you?
Or that E& bought 10% stake in Vod for 130p?
You probably don't know that recently Vod has also received broker upgrades.
Or that the share price has held up really well recently desipre the ftse100 sell off. Vod has not sold as ftse fold off over the past month - but this you missed.
May I suggest that you go play in a sandbox with your little friends. Thanks!
Dumped all these I owned at 1.39 thank god. CEO is brain dead, how he is still there just points up the dogshxt levels of “
talent “acceptable in ftse 100. The shares/company is valued at less than its debt which tells you all you need to know. These will end up an ITV type company, the business model was over 15 years ago, there is no money in mobile and the German purchase turning into a disaster. They were stitched up price wise. Obviously the whole ftse has been a disaster since brexit, index valued at less than it was 21 year ago OMFG but being stuffed full of crxp like Vod/bt/LLoyds /itv/wpp etc is the other part of the problem aside from nobody wanting to invest in UK index or perma depreciating sterling denominated assets.
My only advice is unless you really think you know better than the average retail investor, then don't trade in & out of shares, as you are almost certain to lose, especially if you don't watch your costs. I.E. stamp duty, dealing costs, holding fees. e.t.c. Buy a share, & hold, at least then you have at least a 50/50 chance. Brokers make there money from those who buy, then sell, then buy, then sell! If you keep changing your mind, then the stock market is not for you unless you are an expert, & if I were an expert, I wouldn't waste my time posting on here. Good luck though.
Hi Rob
No worries as my losses are only small compared to many who invested £000s.
Just need a bit/lot of patience hopefully.
Reading the POLY BB, there are many with serious paper losses atm.
Hi Gary
You can't beat a bit of diversification to spread any risk.
You can look at the big yielders from the link below:
https://www.dividenddata.co.uk/dividendyield.py?market=ftse100&sort=yield&order=1
A couple of shares that throw off a good income are:
NCYF
SUPR
WHR
IUKD
GL - C
Is investor sentiment towards Vodafone becoming more positive?
I ask as with the rest of the FTSE 100 in rapid decline VOD has been performing better than normal, I know it has been going down but not by as much as one would have thought.
Perhaps the decent dividend on offer from a massive business is tempting institutional income investors / pension funds to buy in or buy more, or is that just cr*p?
London - good spot that BR is buying back, a lot it little doesn’t matter trend is higher that’s all that matters. Sp looking strong in a poor market. What would happen to the sp in a strong market??
There would a significant increase in the share price
"soon after BlackRock ups their holdings quote significantly! "
They only up'd from 6.98% to 7.06%, an increase of 0.08%
London Centric. I hope you are right, but I can't see how Black Rock ploughing in to vod will push the sp up to £2. But I agree that vod is a strong buy at the moment, so good luck with that one. waffle, waffle!
