Gary, best advice I can give is use the filter option.....life becomes much easier when you cut out people that have no intention of having an informed discussion and only set out to upset as many people as they can.
And of course if everyone filters them they get no response and simply vanish....
My questions to Mikey were simple & at no time did I insinuate that anyone should not post what he or she wants to post, free speech & all that.
I simply asked him why he continually posts the same thing & what benefit he thinks these posts bring to a discussion forum, both valid questions I think, no more, no less.
I have been fascinated by psychiatry for years & the answers would be interesting.
Of course Mikey hasn’t answered as yet but I ask again, why?
Be nice if you are right Rob, but I fear a long cold winter for all assets. VOD’s earnings may stay stable and it keeps paying a div, but if you are big money that moves prices, why park it in risky equity for a div when you can get 4.5% on a US treasury (and rising), with the added assumed bonus now of having you funds in dollars and being short the pound.
Big old mess to sort out yet so Feb23 will be too soon.
Still not selling my companies and just add to the best as they probably decline. I wouldn’t want to be trying to retire on equity gains in the next couple of years though.

This reached 139.50 on the 16 feb 22, hopefully we will see a new high by next feb, as we will need 139.50 plus inflation just to stay the same, can we do it, yes, we can 1.50 at least, well i hope so? -:)
'Italy would be c. €11.6Bn on top of Vantage €10Bn, Hungary, egypt, uk'
If Etisalat are indeed after the Brand, that has been valued at c$19.25Bn and ranked the 8th most valuable telecoms brand in the world according to this source
https://www.statista.com/statistics/500110/vodafone-telecom-brand-value/#:~:text=Vodafone%E2%80%99s%20brand%20value%20fell%20by%20slightly%20more%20than,billion%20U.S.%20dollars%20to%2021.83%20billion%20U.S.%20dollars.
Hello Gary. I trust I have your permission to post on here?!, but I agree that this possible stake building in vod is very encouraging. Why would they buy so many shares if they were not under priced? Yes of course the deb't is a problem, but I think the stake builders believe it is manageable. Cheers Gary, Have a good day. Viva la Nick Read? (unless they can find someone better).
It doesn't bother Mikey at all, because he clearly takes great pleasure in being very boring & very annoying. Very strange, but it takes all types I guess? But of course in the real face to face world he would be subject to massive ridicule, but it seems that on a chat forum, he seems to have more confidence, perhaps because nobody knows who he really is.
So in your opinion I am an extremely boring person , and that bothers me in what way ?
You are quite correct but do you not agree that continually posting the same thing & I mean time and time again makes you sound like an extremely boring individual. You wouldn’t do it during normal conversation with other people because that would also make you sound boring and the subject of ridicule. See where I’m coming from? No offence intended.
I posted it because I wanted to post it - didnt realise people had to get permission to post before they do
Nice to see someone from across La Manche building a large stake in VOD, it all helps & will in the long run. It’s only a matter of time before Mikey starts saying “virer le patron Nick Read” again though.
Mikey can you answer a couple of questions please?
Your post at 10.25 today is the same as many, many others. Why did you post it today & what possible benefit do you think it offers by posting it here.
Its a shame Vodafone cant seem to hold onto any gains it makes . Slowly dropping down again . Unless / Until a major deal is done this is going no where
The pros, aka those with serious money (the super wealthy) know a re-pricing of consumer and business customers is around the corner and with that goodbye debt. If you look at the debt schedule of Vod, it's nothing to worry about and they have almost 8billion in cash with a growing FCF.
As I have been saying all along, just keep adding. The idiots are those who over trade and get lucky now and then, but long term they will lose their shirts.
Great day for the vod sp today with the news. Shame about the usual negative garbage from you know who though, but I guess we have got used to it by now. I really do think vod is way undervalued, but as long the sp stays low, it may encourage more stake building, & of course as fleccy often points out, it makes the M.C.B. share buybacks cheaper. I think the fact there is big interest in buying the towers, just re enforces the need to keep them, as they are obviously very valuable. Vod has big debt's & the potential buyers know it, so like an auction of bankrupt stock, the value of the items are worth far more. Not that I am suggesting vod will go bankrupt of course! (In Vod we trust) Like the U.S. dollar!
As per previous posts, this is yet another proof of deep value. In the span of less than year, we have now 3 influential shareholders and the number will keep growing if the sp remains as these depressed levels.
Vod is a cash machine beast and soon much of the free float will be in the hands of strong holders, who will be looking at increasing their stake to assert more influence. Shame there are barely any shorts as they would have panicked and pushed the price to 150+
Vod has got to be one of the best if not THE best value stock in the UK right now
Italy would be c. €11.6Bn ontop of Vantage €10Bn, Hungary, egypt, uk.... news says niel favours consolidation and network separation. Div in november while FED/ ECB plays out. Debt repayment schedule is weighted to medium long term imho
maybe xavier will force vodafone to sell italy
Dont worry - time for the slow decline back down again now
Bit early to release the bulls yet. First wiat for 7pm to see if FED decide to upend the markets.
Meanwhile UK gov will cap business energy costs at the cost of £150bn. Paid for by more debt (money printing) more inflation and a destroyed pound. Germany is struggling with energy too.
VOD won't avoid general market bearishness and it's still in control.
'2.5 % Xavier niel
10% Etisalat
Cevian ?'
Cevian strategy is to hold €0.5bn to €1.5bn of a company but sometimes higher. As VOD holding is undisclosed, I guess 0.5%+. Niels stake likely more influential but not as influential as Etisalat..imho
2.5 % Xavier niel
10% Etisalat
Cevian ?
Perhaps the weekly sp guesses can move into a different price range. Both BT and VOD being viewed as well oversold.
I think VOD will turn bullish from here - looking for 150p now
it will make a positive turnaround...
VOD just did a double bottom at 106.3p
SO it's very likely to bounce 20% from here.
Or whatever other decent amount
