Dividend cut next quarter, expect to see sub .80p by spring, this is completely re rating along with all other debt junkie U.K crushed sterling denominated “ assets “, or total crxp as they should be known.
Hi Dan, fair comment, of course I support vod and any other share that can hopfully give us a profit, that's what We're all hoping for, just looks like we may have to wait a bit longer
Best of luck mate
£2 for me. Net assets are c€57Bn according to last stat accounts ie the net realisable value.
The recent valuations of various assets point to the higher SP valuation imho
Hi rob. Cheers mate. I just think we should leave politics out of it. I suspect your politics may be completely different to mine, but I don't care, as long you support vod? Or even if you don't support vod you are still O.K. in my book. Have a good week.
Take this company over while the £ is hammered as is the share price...it's a bargain... 135 would do me!!
Still showing on VOD IR

Cevian probably got them busy simplifying the five point action plan taskforces for smartphone adoption across the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States
$1bn bond was payable yesterday. In this climate would be good to have an RNS to say what happened with it.
Here we go - oh well it was nice for an hour seeing blue .
When you say fly - you mean go up by 0.000001 %
oh my word this is going to fly today
Hi Dan, think everyone is just getting a bit fed up with taking big hits at the moment, myself included, but nothing we can do about it, but the budget has not gone down well with the stock markets, massive borrowing with the rich being the bigger gainers is obviously not going down well, could be the Tories undoing perhaps, we will see how that works out, politics not a great topic for here perhaps, but it has been the cause of all the stock market drops Friday and today so understandable. Let's hope it all settles down and we start seeing more up days
cheers Amigo
Sorry rob, but not quite sure what your point is? but I wont spit my dummy, I promise. I was just making the point that the vod divi is paid in euro's not dollars as Faicj stated, (big difference at the moment) & also trying to keep party politics out of all of this, because that is when you all start spitting your dummies, instead of being positive. Cheer up amigo, it can only get better??
Oldham,RE: loving the negativity, tells me we are near a bottom in the markets. you may want to have a rethink on that mate, don't think it's even got started yet
whoever has taken Dan's dummy from him, can you please give it back lol
Dan at least nobody is blaming nick reed at the moment mate
Faicj. Who pays the vod divi in us dollars? Are you for real? The divi is in euro. Give us a break? Please stop talking complete nonsense? Where do you come from then? obviously not Eton? You are just a mess.
Sorry Gary, But knee jerk nonsense comes to mind. Discuss yes, knee jerk nonsense, no. "Printing money for there own political purposes " is hardly a sensible, non bias, political discussion. It may well be that she has go it wrong, but calm down mate , & we might get a sensible balance here? Any chance we can discuss vodafone, & not pathetic party political politics? You say lab, I say Tory? Leave that to the ballot box?

I never thought that I would agree with a word that Porsche says but he has summed up the UK & the Brexit debacle pretty well. There are no rights or wrongs, some of the things that the EU did for us here whilst we were members were good, some bad.
We have to live in the here & now & what we have now is Lizzy & her new mate borrowing & printing money for their own political purposes. No thought has been given to the man in the street & he is the one that will be struggling economically, not the public school, out of touch (never in touch) bunch of sycophants currently residing in No 10.
Have we ever been worse off in this country with our politicians? Discuss !!!
Brexit has no interaction with the sp for vod, more the poor handling of society by the ruling tory and Eton mess, at least they pay the dividend in us dollars we may actually get a good payout still
It has everything to do with brexit. EU represents over 60 pc of our total trade, we helped build most of the rules that governed trading with the bloc, we are now a rule taker, business has become more difficult more expensive and for things like food exports almost impossible, trade is now all friction, Northern Ireland mess,. How’s that for starters. We are viewed by rest of world as a self harming basket case ( it’s why most countries don’t have referendums ) and we no longer have much of a voice as we did when part of a huge trading bloc. Factor in the loss of free movement of Labour now pushing up prices and down on productivity. Should be a vote of no confidence soon and inshallah the tories will be gone for the next 20 years. UBS described the Tory party as a doomsday cult this morning, hysterical. Sad cold wet run down shxtty little island with crxp politics and idiots allowed to vote getting poorer by the day. Sterling collapse just the start and expect 7.5 pc rates by March. Terminal ftse below where it was 23 years ago. Shocking. Still a short tho. Come back Tony Blair.
I was dead against brexit, but what has brexit got to do with the fall of the £ against the dollar? I would stick to watching back to future if I were you, & leave politics to others.
Faicj. So are you saying if we had a labour, or some other government, the vod sp would be higher? Or did you just fancy having a pop at the Tory government?
Sterling decline has nothing to do with Brexit. All global currencies are collapsing against the dollar. The euro was doing worse than gbp until end of last week when the gbp had an accelerated fall entirely linked to tax reduction policy. We stand alone as a nation looking to tackle the economic pain of inflation by stimulating growth. Are we right? We’ll find out soon.
Tax cuts at least don’t require money printing.
Meanwhile in Europe they’ll need to deal with the economic fallout of far right Italians, still debt burdened Greeks and a dumb energy policy. I’d rather be out than in.
Go team UK

Tower sale now probably now needed to keep SP parity what with everything else going on currently. £1.01 for me please this week.
I can’t see anyone coming in for a takeover, VOD generates a lot of its income from Germany & the latest Reuters headline of “ German economic downturn deepens in September, outlook grim” doesn’t bode well. If the money ain’t coming in the debt can’t be serviced.
