Looks like a lot of you are going sub £1. Perhaps to prevent this happening vod should do a pound shop, & make the shares smaller, so they can still sell them at a pound? Never thought I would see rob go for under a £. I am getting that Monday morning feeling already, even though I am retired!
Hi all, lots of chat this morning in the Sunday press about UK companies being ripe for takeover due to Lizzy's mess & the pound plummeting, VOD mentioned as a top takeover target.
For this reason & also my upbeat mood (the sun is shining up here in Quantock country today & some deer are in the fields at the back having come down to get away from the cold nights) I am happy to go on record & say that there will be a 40% uplift in this SP in the next 12 months i.e. £1 to £1.40.
You heard it here first & now I just need the confidence to buy back in.
I go for 99.9p
CSDI, just don't go getting impatient and selling at a loss, I've still got a small amount left in psn, but holding back before putting anymore in there, expecting most shares will be taking further drops this winter, when the energy costs add to the already high inflation and interest rates, we will just have to wait it out for a while, they will come good eventually
good luck mate, we all need it
Will do Robleo....write another list Sun / Mon, quite a few more probably
.97 for me please roofer

CSDI - I too have PSN but I only brought in recently & see absolutely no reason to sell. House builders for me are keepers & they will come right but it may take a couple of years, meanwhile the dividends are great even if PSN do cut which is a distinct possibility. They are at 19% now so a 50% cut wouldn't be a disaster.
The poster 'Strictlybricks' on LSE is the absolute oracle on house builders, he is well worth a read for the uninitiated.
Apologies one & all that this isn't a VOD post, put on for the info of CSDI & others.
Hi Danh
what a mess I've made with PSN - getting hammered worse than VOD.
I cannot see the point in crystallising a big loss on PSN to move elsewhere.
My hands are tied for now with no spare funds to invest.
for all the doom and gloom around, VOD has outperformed many (that is dropped less !!) of the FTSE100 shares this year.
So will have to stay on the sidelines for now, and continue to live up to my moniker of C S D I =
Crap Share Dealing Ideas.
Take care & GLA - C
Bonds looking cheap with similar income if it goes much below £1
So vod can increase the interim div or sell 30% vantage and retain control. If vod does nothing I think this goes alot lower on the prospect of giving smartphone access free to the rest of the world. 98.3 my guess
Fortune favours the brave Rob.....Markets all over the place at the mo have no funds left for any more purchases so will have to sell to buy have set limits on LGEN BP and good ole VOD...Going to be interesting to where this all ends up new PM new government.....
Hi soton, could have been a bit dodgy with lgen last week with the pension liabilities, makes me think of it as a bit of a warning not to get too heavy in one share, hoping to top up on vod, but thinking this could drop under a £1 now, so will see what happens next week, i would never wish a share to drop, but if it happens will take advantage of it
Didn't think this would ever go below the £ mark.....But think your right Gary so going to go for 97.5p..... Bet there are some US P/E eyeing this up ...Just a thought how much would you accept per share in a buyout £1.50 £1.65 £1.80?
Thanks for the congrats amigos, bittersweet in that the SP has declined. Hopefully it's only the market malaise that has brought VOD down this week along with everything else.
As for next week the DOW finished down Friday so if its true to form the market here won't like that so I'm guessing a 98p finish please next Friday (Hope I'm wrong)
Good for you Wayzgoose....Was tempted myself but opted to go in to LGEN am heavy in here even heavier in LGEN now right decision time will tell...GLA
Are the market and the short selling bankers once again rather stupidly overlooking this fact?
CSDI. Come on amigo, are you not tempted to buy vod at this bargain price,& dump your other rubbish shares? I am also crap at picking shares, but not as bad as you? Surely?
But why? If you have got the balls, fill your boots. Vodafone are obviously way under priced, but they are very risky, because of massive debt. Don't buy if your cant afford to lose, but do buy if you want to win.
Congrats to Gary 59 on his first gold medal performance.
It's been a bad week for many shares with the FTSE down about 2% and down 6% over the month of Sept.
VOD is one of the many to suffer.
My worst effort in the Friday guesssing game, saw me miss by about 10%.
So need a rethink for the week ahead.
Looking for a modest bounce so will go for 104p on 7th please.

Gary, a budget for the benefit of the rich, is never going to go down well, when others will be struggling to pay their mortgages and energy bill, was it ?
