"When the tide goes out, you can see many of them not wearing a bathing suit" I can just picture the B.O.D. of vodafone, stark ******* naked on Brighton beech! Not a pretty sight?
Danny boy - I'm a day trader obviously
G.S. Don't give up your day job? Oh forgot! You don't have one?
I am Tarka Dhal
I was just gonna suggest myself Danny boy
Mikey. That was a rise in the last hour, not a fall. You have got your head on,upside down again! Just remember, your chin goes at the bottom, not the top!
Perhaps we should have, A low life, classless buffoon, who fancies him/herself above all others (urban dictionary definition of a guttersnipe) Preferably with dreadlocks. Can anybody think of someone on here??

A "nice little package" indeed!
Further details of the "package" from FT here:

Read will receive a base salary of £1.1mn to March 2023,
plus a bonus, which was £1.5mn last year.
Plus continued salary paid from April to December 2023.
Read was paid an average of £3.8mn over the past three years.
Mickey 68 - I was saying the other day that a lot of CEO s are i d i o TS in smart suits with the right connections and able to talk impressively.
When the tide goes out you can see that many of them are not wearing a bathing suit.
Here comes the last 1hr drop - looks like we could finish below 88p . What a complete disaster of a company caused by Read and the BOD . No doubt he will just move on with a nice little package and leave the shareholders sitting on massive losses .
Yes I have just put another slug in, hoping for a bounce soon.
Not worried about debt, it is going down as a result of inflation.
How did anybody know we would get our wish - he had managed to pull the wool over peoples eyes for 4 years . I have no problem in buying when I did - its just going to be many months/years to get this company back to a reasonable value
Mikey. Of course I didn't think it would automatically transform the share price. That was my whole point. You are the one who has been calling for the sacking of Nick Read. If you realised the sp would fall when you got your wish, why then did you buy vod shares a week or so ago, instead of waiting for them to fall, before buying? Of course it is a mess, so let's hope a new C.E.O. can sort it out, (As if by magic)?
So it looks like today is a who can rubbish vod the most and make the lowest most stupid SP valueation or go bust post.
So I guess we can all join in and say 15p .
interesting if dividend is cut in half you will get same or more yield holding the bonds.
The .85p target i called when these were at 1.10 just 2p away. Will go a lot lower, possibly end up in hands of bondholders and shareholders wiped out, debt level is crazy.
RNS for buybacks yes
RNS Imminent.
" BT is down 29% with Vodafone down 35% "
This also speaks loudly with regards the way the London trading works .....price cycles .... take profit, sell, wait, use put options, wait ...then buy the low and start again
Retail fails to understand the way London trading works
And you think it will automatically transform share price as if by magic . Whoever comes in is going to have to try and unpick the damage Read has done - until that happens or at least the markets see somebody has a hold on the debt etc the price will likely continue dropping .
I said it the wrong way around, BT down 35%, Vod down 29%. I've mentioned on previous threads that DT is the exception due to its T Mobile holding in the US.

I added other telcom companies in europe

" the weighted average of cost of debt for VOD is around 2.5% 2 - VOD H1 Report
debt at 5% is fine if you are charging your customers with price increases to match etc ...it is all relative
