Slowly but surely down it goes - red finish ?
why do they need to buy it? they have held the 94% shares since 2013 why buy now? how will it be better for them now?
why dont they focus on dividend sustainabilty and debt reduction
mehmehmeh. Why do you think buying out minority K.D.G. shareholders is a bad thing to do?
why they keep buying out minorities and paying way more? this company is terribly run
'Our organic growth underpinned a step-change in our return on capital, which improved by 170bps to 7.2%. '
traders conveniently forgetting money borrowed from stakeholders is generating increasing return on capital year on year
So vod on the buy out path again, good or bad iether way it will be spending more money.
Up, as they need to keep borrowing for underlying business and to pay a div and buy back shares.
If they had stopped the div they wouldn’t need to sell essential assets.
What a business.
any idea what the net debt might be following the egypt, hungary and vantage tower deal?
Wisebear if I want to see more accurate trade volumes I use https://investing.thisismoney.co.uk/quote/VOD
and it's under Analysis section which currently is empty because yesterday's figures are gone. But that's where I saw overall buy figures for yesterday and it was around 250million bought shares
Did some research:
Around 280m shares traded today. That’s very high for one day. Sp didn’t move much.
Something happening in the background
I can see 9m sells. 34m buys today.
Where do you see 200m buy?
If it is true, then e& are increasing to 15%.
Around 250m is 1% of vod.
Guttersnipe. We all know your not short (very defensive though) Come on Gutter stand up like a man & say "I am not short, I'm a man" We believe you?!
forget about the tui, that was was for different reasons ri, thought they were a bargain Dan lol
dibbieboy1, RE:voda moaners, not many shares are making big profits right now, as dan pointed out with tui, as we are in very troubled times, we are all caught in the stock market trap at the moment, most share prices have dropped so the choices are sell up at a loss or just wait it out until hopefully things improve, the reality is nobody knows what's going to happen next bank crisis etc, my direct line shares for instance have dropped by around a third since they announced a drop in profits and cut the dividend even though they previously said the dividend is safe, could the same happen here i don't know?, hopefully this will be back over a pound again but when is anyone's guess, maybe we will see and end to inflation/interest rises and putins war sometime soon, we are well overdue some good news
it's a good value share, btw someone bought over 200mil shares today
I see no drop from here and certainly no heavy drop. To use the word junk is so far from the truth it's ridiculous. Makes me even more positive.
I read a lot of messages on here, positive an negative, but I only ever make my own decisions. There is no real down side here now. So hold an see a rise in the near term.
We are not all here to praise Vodafone. Some of us just think it's junk. Some might be short. It is perfectly fine to be short. Although i am not short. I just think it's junk. Last summer i had a small gamble at 1.18 and sold a short while later at 1.21. There's always a chance after heavy falls to profit from a bear rally. If Vodafone dropped heavily i might even buy some.
Correction. Tui fall down to a rights issue!
Hello slarti & dibbie, There are some on here who just revel in being negative. I just checked my Tui holiday bookings & saw tui shares are down 50% in one day, so vod not as bad. Be possitive, it might just work, be negative, will never work, unless you are shorting.
Off the top of my head,
Alcatel german jv grows revenues
Vantage customers grows revenues
Enterprise/ business sector (all industry segments) return to growth, telco revenues grow
Industry consolidation/ operators exit (3) so vod customer base grows and or costs decrease
Indexed revenues across 8 eu countries increase revenues while costs are hedged
Device replacement cycle as consumer devices wear out
Roaming revenues as uk not in eu
Cont' Perhaps the potential candidate is above all this anarchistic rubbish.
Why take the job of V.O.D. C.E.O. if your shareholders/employees just treat you with contemp? Give a dog a bad name!!?? P
I'm on the positive side with this share. Too much silly talk on the negative side. It's only a waiting game for a short while and then this share will start its journey up. I'm sure most have seen it all before. Only way is up, still for me.
Would anyone buy this company if it was up for sale ?
