Think ian duncan smith highlights how daft the risk really is comparing the merger with government servants using TikTok
Rob, Come on,we know you have a passionate hatred for Nick Read, but I will forgive you. I am sure he is a very nice person really. It's a shame he doesn't read all this crap, because he might invite me around for Christmas if he did. I hear he is very good at stuffing turkeys!? It was all sotonspikes fault?? Stirring it up as usual?
Hi , I'm sure you know it was just jokey comments from soton and myself, and it all just got a bit silly after that, personally i don't give a dam who the CEO is as long as the share price rises, the mood changes here when the share price is down and everyone's losing money , as another poster used to say events can change everything, let's hope we get some good ones and get above the £1 mark soon
chill out you guys
GLA
Daniel, I wish you all the best.
I believe there are some good news for Vodafone coming soon, hence why E& increasing stake quite rapidly (unless they want a merger in the near future). Malone also got a whiff of this good news. And he mentioned that he believes Vodafone is undervalued.
Institutions hold more than 75% of Vodafone shares (correct me if am wrong please). There may be a tug of war playing in the background.
More likely the sp will appreciate near term, so hold on. There are going to be tree shakes to gather more shares for E&. Patience
Hello rob. Thank you for your comments. I think it is fair for me to add that after it was sugested on here that me & Mikey call a truce, I havn't criticised Mikey at all. Ironically this all seemed to kick off after a good humoured comment regarding Nick Read, from sotonspike, to you. It was then suggested that almost all C.E.O.'s are no good, which I think is a very unfair thing to say, & as I am often reminded this a free forum & I am entitled to my opinion, even though it would seem that demonising C.E.O.'s is the name of the game.. Anyway, lets hope we can all calm down a bit & move on. Cheers Amigo..
Hello Wisebear. I would like to tell you, but unfortunately there are some on here who would just use it as an excuse to have another pop at me. Good luck to you though. We all need it at the moment..
I have never made out that I am always right Daniel . What i never do - unless somebody has a go at me first - is use obnoxious words and call them idiots or morons etc etc . Everybody is entitled to their own opinion - thats what a forum is for . Not for attacking people who post negative remarks just because you dont like them .
“The reality is that this should not be allowed, in America, I suspect, this wouldn’t be allowed. If they’re going to ban TikTok from all government devices then they certainly should be blocking this.”

Dan, i like your honest reply to Mikey, think most people are a bit disappointed with this share at the moment, will it go up or down from here nobody knows, a bit of banter is ok, but come on you guys stop being so grumpy, and it's much more helpful to others if people can just be honest and share there experiences good or bad
good luck Amigo, and come on vod get a move on
I am running out of acceptance speeches lately but would note that this is the first time I have won making a prediction of price increase! Can I go for 92p please Bob and hope the increases, albeit on a low trajectory, continue
Maybe just need the clarity to rubber stamp the deal and pass it through, free trade and all that. All the technical complexity and the list of things to complete is long according to Darren Purkis.
Of course it could be an April Fool joke looking at the date of the article
Daniel, what is your average Vod buying price?
I'm a bit confused as to why Unite are involved in this, as the Communication Workers Union normally provide representation within the Telecom sector. The only thing I can think of, is that this is coming from the public sector/services side of the equation.
I've always thought the chance of regulators allowing a Vodafone UK/Three merger were slim to none, due to the identical nature of their mobile businesses and their positions within the sector.
As far as any national security concerns, that'd be super easy to sort out:
1) Give Vodafone supervisory control over the combined UK entity
2) Ring fence the departments, who deal with sensitive Public sector contracts, coming under the national security umbrella
3) Limit any information relating to the ring fenced departments, to a few Board Members who have the relevant Vetting and security level clearances
4) Ensure procedures are in place to ensure the ringfencing rules are enforced
I can see loads of reasons for the regulators to block the merger, but I don't see National Security as being one of them; Since the ringfencing rules, I've listed above, are likely already in force at firms like Vodafone, BT, VMO2 and any other company bidding for sensitive public sector contracts, otherwise what's the point of having Vetting procedures?
Hello Mikey. Many on here may question why I bother to answer your posts, but I would like to answer your last post. You ask if I would ever admit that I was wrong? I assume you mean was I wrong to buy vodafone shares, & the answer is a big yes, it was a very big mistake, so Mikey I was wrong. I wish I had never bought vod shares, but I did, so I can sell at a big loss, or hold, hopeing they will recover. What I won't do(sorry to repeat myself) is whinge & moan about it. So Mikey, how about you returning the faviour & admitting you are wrong sometimes? That might work.
