I said at 90p it would drop into the 70's. I said the market would sell off, this is just the beginning !
You keep averaging down, I'll keep shorting the markets and will wait for a clearer entry point - it's not yet though..!
1. Based on bad experience 15 years ago when I left them. Came back 2 years ago as I thought they must have improved and it's got a lot worse. Several contracts with them, hours on the phone, broken promises, cancelling the wrong contracts leaving me with no broaband, speaking to people who can't understand basic English. It's a shambles when it goes wrong.
2. Underlying debt costs are rising - do you think they're dropping then ??! Read the balance sheet and accounts, look at the share price...! Those are the facts..!
1) "Customer service is horrendous if you need anything except an upgrade or some more stuff... "
2) "The debt is getting more expensive to service which will impact margins more than any inflationary upside and revenue is effectively static. "

So many subjective statements!
1 - What is your proof point? First result on google search: https://usave.co.uk/mobile/best-and-worst-mobile-networks/
2 - What is your assumption based on? Would love to hear it. I will then share with you links to actual facts.
Mr Long, it was a three pronged point and I was responding to an "it will be alright as our income will go up loads because of the inflationary increases"
It won't overall because if it's out of kilter with the average then customers will shop round and move (there is a cost of living crisis).
Customer service is horrendous if you need anything except an upgrade or some more stuff...
The debt is getting more expensive to service which will impact margins more than any inflationary upside and revenue is effectively static.
Put simply they've spent too much on infrastructure and have lost sight of what is the most important aspect of their business - the customer.
Lol, Danny boy could have an argument in a phone box with only him inside
The business needs to fund it's debt, and interest rates are moving against it, plus there's a risk premium. It could literally halve it's debt, but still pay the same, or more, to fund it. The NAV also reduces. One could argue that VOD could be the target of a bid, but it's better to let it go pop and wait for an asset purchase from the administrators. The business is sound, but it's burning cash. It is in danger of being a victim of the Minsky effect. I hope it survives, but it's on life support for me.
Re: lol ,we all want you to be right about that, also reminds me of Debenhams remember this has dropped every year since
2018, and the lower it drops the longer the journey back up, let's hope someone on the board of directors has got a magic wand then
“The majority here think these numbers(price action) flashing daily is some kind of a game with no floor at which point it will be gobbled up at twice the price in no time. Think again.”
What do you mean? 2.33% down in the US
Lol this board is now full to the brim with doom and gloom😃
Reminds of when Morrisons was trading well below their intrinsic value and people thought it was done. They woke up one morning to the bidding war over the ownership of company.
The majority here think these numbers(price action) flashing daily is some kind of a game with no floor at which point it will be gobbled up at twice the price in no time. Think again.
No - dividend cancellation is the THE big buy signal for institutions - the day the announce it I will pile in.
74.38 yikes
Thank you mikey for that, I have always suggested that we should leave it up to the large shareholders, & the b.o.d. but some think they don't have a clue, including you I thought. But Mikey, you need to give it a break. Move on? Just calling for the sacking of C.E.O.'s doesn't work. Calm down, & have a good week mate. As for rose tinted glasses, I simply want vodafone to do well, If they do badly , I don't complain. No point in wearing negative tinted glasses.
“Because that's what investors call for when they havn't got a clue”
Surely you dont mean the large shareholders dont have a clue haha !!!!!!
And I have never pretended to know - but lets just say the share price is at levels I have said it would hit - not your rose tinted glasses everytime it has the odd good day . I’m not gloating because I feel bad for the shareholders .
Sorry. I meant. I did not say (typo)
Mikey. I did not anything about small private investors. But sacking Nick Read did not work, did it. Of course he didn't go because of small private investors. I listen, you don't. Never mind, you don't know, & nor do I. But I have never pretended that I did. Time to move on mate.
Noveckinggood I don’t get your point? If all players move the price and they have, why move? A friend of mine owns a telecoms comp and at the moment hes writing most deals with EE as they are paying best commission. However, he knows VF has by far the best 5G network and infrastructure , which is the cost and debt to fund it. You may see steak and chips advertised elsewhere for 5.99 but there’s only so many times you’ll eat it!
Yes FTSE down 1.4 % so all in all no big deal .
Google share prices have a glitch all the time, especially at the start and end of the day.
It's only down about 2 pence.
Closing price…..77.75
Just google finance being wrong surely? Official close price was 77.75
65.00 GBX
−14.47 (18.21%)today
what happened?
Continue the destruction across the pond
Strong decline at the close
If this goes below 50 then I will buy
My concerns are debt and if they cancel dividends in future then sp will really drop. Who knows.
