I just filtered out all the usual doom and gloomers on here. Only seeing 50% of the posts now.
Good luck all…Makes you wonder why people that clearly don’t have VOD shares, would bother to post constant negativity.
They likely all have their own wee agendas 😂
Gutter - And there we have it, he won’t be telling us what he thinks anymore.
Well, we’ll all miss this incisive, accurate, worthwhile input from a complete p ratt who doesn’t understand the very basics of stock investing & who is so unaware of showing what a tool he is when he posts.
My wife’s cat has a better grasp of things.
"But probably most of the market red after that inflation shocker "
---
Good for those who can afford sitting on debt as money loses value. As for VOD, higher inflation leads to real value of net debt dropping. Again, pundits are missing the elephant in the room; Vod's issued bonds have fixed rates attached to them, while they can adjust their prices in tandem and above the rate of inflation. What all this mean is more cash poring in and less expenses to be paid, especially now that they are laying off portion of the workforce.
As mentioned 5 to 7% declines weekly
Should be gone before the year end.
But probably most of the market red after that inflation shocker
Rip off Britain - this country is a joke to the rest of the world
AI can't accomplish much without a solid IoT platform. Here is another good article about Vod's position in this space: https://www.telecomtv.com/content/digital-platforms-services/is-the-economy-of-things-a-new-telco-revenue-opportunity-vodafone-thinks-so-47628/
Thought Danny boy was going on holiday.
I'm neutral on Vodafone now anyway, maybe it will go up or down or just stay about this level, I won't be telling anyone what I think anymore because folks get upset.
A bit more inflation does what? Pushes the bond prices up, yes. But people won’t go without a phone, it’s the equivalent of cutting your own arm off. It also ensures a guaranteed rise in next years bill, which has already increased by 14% as of April this year in the uk. No point swapping provider either as they’ll all lift by the same amount give or take.
Added more today so my average is now 81p , I’m in for the long haul with 50k invested GLA
Dan, I'm just going to remind you with a 5 year chart

I think we all know we are depending on the new acting CEO and boards of directors to do something special here as it's possibly our only hope of seeing this change direction
Did you sell out in the end PFen? At a loss?
Asking for a friend
If the board were in the Apprentice they would hear those magic words. You're all fired.
Clueless and the company is heading out the back door faster than any I can recall in a long time on the FTSE 100 and given how poor an index this is wow.
Each day is the same and with only 72p to play with and the junk falling at a rate of 5 % a week it won't be long until its over.
Not once have I had a pop at shareholders
I’m just yanking chains
All chilled here - Vod is still in the rough though and expect that to continue tomorrow after the miserable inflation data.
Sorry rob, much I like your posts on here, but don't you think you are wasting your time with the likes of jax & gutter who are obviously just on here to have go at vodafone shareholders. Come on rob, we all have an opinion, but some want to just have a go, for the sake of it. Vod has been a bad investment in the past, Fact. But Time to move on to the future,. I know you are the word of reason!? but come on, don't push it, please. But as always, I hope you have a good week.
Jax05, what are your plans for this one and what were your expectations here, if you don't mind me asking
there are a lot of experienced investors on these boards and most are willing to help, why not share your thoughts with others and get their opinions, i know it has been helpful for myself in the past, a problem shared as they say
for what it's worth most of us are disappointed with this shares performance and we just hope the CEO and board of directors can do the job they are paid to do and turn this into a profitable company, just saying it's going down every day will not help
Jax 05
you seem clueless chill 😎
Jax have you not sold yet so you don't lose even more of your money?
Getting dumped over the pond
Why wouldn’t it
Vod seems to be terminal - 6s this week
Mystery how this turd is still above .70
However you look at it Vod will always overall be down
We need e& to increase their holding or the other one
Can’t see any other good news to come
The three merger announcement was bland and the sp reacted accordingly
Don't think it will do much until the merger is confirmed, but happy at these prices and the promise of no change in dividend strategy...at the moment 76p at friday maybe
TBF its hard not to be down on the share, holding or not. This is painful at times, just when you think we are at the bottom and might see a steady recovery, instead it just drops again
It's silly to claim to hold VOD share but predict doom and gloom day in and day out.
