I do notice the rate of decline is less than BT. Its normally the other way round. If the prices get closer, I'd consider moving to BT in the run up to them going ex-divi, then back to Vodafone before Q1 figures. I actually think Voda are on solid ground and the worst is behind them
And that sniveller of an ex CEO has walked away with £4m bonus for all of this....
i wrote about ****nal football team and it got starred......
Its actually a 5 year low not 52 weeks... and still paying good divis..
The divi plus the excellent potential for capital growth is what makes it such a good bet atm.
Mobile wireless telecoms is here to stay.
E& are in it for the strategic play not the day to day whims of the stock market. Really dont know what you expect, they aren't in it for the day to day operational side or even the medium term, they are in it for what the company will look like in 3 to 5 years, and those time of strategic moves don't just happen overnight, if they do then its probably at the detriment of VOD, eg selling off assets cheap, buying overpriced etc.
Whereas you question why they are in it, when they can see the strategic value, yet you see no value and are supposedly holding here, so why?
E& must be regretting buying here and at those high levels lol who signed off on that entry is clearly not an astute investor- sack em.
E& will only have so much patience and imo it’ll be wearing thin seat or no seat
This is a high risk play
IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN!
Meme reference for those that get it ;-)
This is now one of the worst stocks in the market...

"A young cat. A baby cat. A little cat, A child cat. A kitten. So Mrs Slocums kitten I think, will do."
***** Galore!
Dan, have you had a few too many ciders tonight? It's not a purrfect world you know
Correction. A young cat. A baby cat. A little cat, A child cat. A kitten. So Mrs Slocums kitten I think, will do.
if you can't say *****cat anymore. you are a load of flipping idiots. no wonder the mobile phone industry is going down the pan if it is driven by complete idiots. no, not the vod c.e.o. but those of you who use them, & go along with the idiot moderators running this forum.
What is going on, you moderarators are a joke. Ok a young cat bounce then.
Hey jax
Why didn’t you take advantage of one of the visa schemes as you dislike the uk so much? Could of moved to Ireland or Portugal for £500k. Assume a smart guy like you could have that covered?
& i am still waiting for mrs slocums ***** cat bounce. but you are all doing very, very well.
'Like all share there is only so far a share will be allowed to drop.'
LoL, I like the idea of an elastic bounce and hope mrs slocums nicker elastic can take the strain. I wouldnt want to be within 2 light years of a 'slocum horizon event'
TerryMC1.....yes this share over the last few years has been a pain...big divs but big sp losses...
Toli, thank you. You missed the recent div, but you got it lower than the ex div price on the day, so your investment looks good to me. Theoretically, when the share goes 'cum' div, we see an uptick , maybe LoL
Interesting main MMs have 74.5 in level 2 so maybe we see 77 or 78 shortly cum div.
Is VOD is all 'corporate and business development strategy speak' or will there be executed deals. Today, JPM on board with Spain so the corporate speak is its not just a UK merger one trick pony. There is enough time for JPM to present the BoD with Spain options before reporting H1 and guiding outlook. €4Bn was mentioned previously for Spain, but I think thats a discounted number..
^-^
Like all share there is only so far a share will be allowed to drop.
All shares are allowed to drop to zero in my experience .
Good luck
The key MMs have sell prices of .74.5
Like all shares there is only so far a share will be allowed to drop.
results were excellent and the yield is tremendous.
Any cut would be factored in.
Time to buy in dyor
i know i started it with the cat thing but it's getting a bit like "mrs slocombe's *****" on here now. for the youngsters here who don't know, mrs slocombe was a character in a poor british sit com some years back. danielh will remember it i'm sure, no offence meant dh.
Always follow Porsche and Terry MC, the two obvious shorties. Obviously Jax another repetitive trier. Burn time for the shorties.
Added at these crazy low levels, happy bunny. See you at £1.
