I'll go for 72.1p
'An E& RNS would lift sentiment'
Actually, a Spain RNS would too. As JPM are working on this at the moment, I cant imagine they are being paid for more than a few months work, so an RNS may be due before H1 reporting.
I suppose private equity interest still an option with interest rates on the rise. Maybe another version of 3 VOD UK and fewer operators, consolidation? MDV can then say VOD is a force for good and not just a UK phenomenon
Can you put me down for 66.8p please.
Do you mean 10x the dividend after. Just kidding.
My prediction for next week is 10 x current dividend - ever the optimist
Novek why the abuse. I don’t dish it out to others on here only Vod so respect others views / opinions / frustrations. Yet you post 68p which is negative and expect a pat on the back JC.
The world hasn’t been in an economic recession for 7 years so can’t blame current economic events on the reason why Vod is going down. Vod would go down anyway it seems. Vod was going down when interest rates were zero, inflation was low and everyone had money to spend.
Poor investment choice this one and sticking with 58p.
'E& can be the only glimmer of hope here'
VOD looks like an infrastructure company and they are getting hammered this week because of index linked interest payments, div affordability etc. But VOD is not the same. The coupon averages c3% and FCF badged for future div payments. H1 confirmation will push VOD higher relative to the rest of the ftse100. An E& RNS would lift sentiment that all is going swimmingly
70p for me please Bob
Jax, you’re a clueless potless irritating little t(w)@t. You add nothing, you buzz around like an annoying wasp pi55ing everyone off constantly.
You’re either a paid boiler room stooge or a sad unemployed guy sat in Wetherspoons using the free Wi-Fi with nothing much to look forward to in life.
Am I close ?
I think the general market sell off will continue next week so it’s 67.5p for me please Roofer..
Have a good weekend.
Put me down for 58p cheers
It will close the week next at 68.9
E& can be the only glimmer of hope here
'I accept whatever the policy of the BOD decides.'
I am guessing that the div will be maintained because of E& who likely will hold 20% to 25% of the shares
Be double bounce at 70p
Well done Newsid congratulations 🎉 🙌
I will post you the trophy for engraving

''You can also look at it from another angle''
''This act alone would catapult the shares upward.''
the market decides on a daily basis the market cap (valuation) of Vodafone ,with shares being EXCHANGED. Why would shareholders be prepared to pay 1,2,3,4,5% + etc more per share than at the start of dividend payment day, only for it to fall back to the previous market cap with sellers taking advantage of a e temporary higher valuation ?.
Purchasing 5% of shares in a buyback for cancellation however would increase the price per share if the market cap (valuation) is maintained.
I hold quite a few Vodafone shares, and would have no complaints if funds were diverted from dividends to buybacks at these low price levels, but I accept whatever the policy of the BOD decides.
"If it was down to me, Id' drop the dividend and announce a buyback program starting immediately. The share price is around 25 year lows, going off Google charts, and a drop in the share price on the back of a dividend cut would mean they could mop up significant stock. They could reinstate the dividends after a couple of years with significantly less shares in issue."
=================
You can also look at it from another angle, ca 1.2bn will be paid out to shareholders in early august. If all were to re-invest this net amount, it would represent more than 5% of the current market cap! This act alone would catapult the shares upward.
