Sorry Jax, none of what you have said show me that these perceived facts are not already backed into the sp.
You mentioned specifically that 19.5 billion is overvalued.
How was this calculated please.
If you can't answer that, then you cannot claim that 19.5 billion, your figure not mine, is overvalued.
Rob, I liked your joke, not a lot, but I liked it. Seriously though I did like it, & had a good laugh, out load even!? So perhaps you have a sense of humour after all? Keep it comeing Amigo. Laughing beats moaning any day. What was it that the great Urdu poet said, or was it Enrie Wise with the poem what we he wrote?
Dan, i take it you didn't like my joke? never mind
Correction I meant Urdu,not Urdo.
Well rob, I can't expect you boyo's from the valleys to understand what (sic) means, but I am feeling a bit better,(can't think why?) but thanks for your concern. Have a good week boyo, sorry, I mean Amigo.
Mrlong, It will depend how long you can wait. And how old you are if you're 18 you may have a bit of a chance, I've waited 6 years and it's just kept going down , seriously though i really hope this has turned a corner but i wouldn't like to bet my life savings on it, right now i will be happy to see it get back to a £1 so i can recover the losses from my last top up here, the remainder i will just leave in here and just keep taking the dividends
If they are selling off parts of the company to reduce debt that will possibly mean less profits for Vodafone in the future
I will ask you guys you're opinions on that
share prises dropping the last week seems to be the general trend with most shares though , so don't think we should be too hard on vod at the moment
A fascinating analysis about Deuteschland and unfortunately, I concur with some of the criticism. Last week, and I am Germany based, I went to an estate agent about a property. Within 1 minute the receptionist was screaming at me as the house I was talking about hadn't been placed on the system. And. It was an American owned estate agent! And this article talks about a hostile environment for foreigners.
Dan, hope your feeling better mate, gutter mentioned you wasn't feeling very well :-)
Come on Avo take the blinkers off
Declining….
customer numbers
Revenue
Fcf
Divided (imo)
Increasing…..
Servicing debt
Competition
Unlikely……
Merger will happen
Germany will improve
No recession in key economies
On the plus side:
E& is still keen
We have MDV the saviour (joke)
The brand counts for nothing imo - Vod can easily go bust like any other poorly run business
Now you show me substance behind your counter argument other than looking at yesterdays sp and saying that’s where it should be me old mucker
On what basis is it overvalued jax? Can you put any substance behind this baseless assertion?
£19.5bn is way overpriced for this pos
Come on 6s
I once invested in something that quickly lost 65%.
I waited and waited and waited, when I sold it returned me 20 fold on my stake.
Gutter snipe, look up the meaning of (sic), that way you might understand?
Crikey if the German economy is 19th century whats the UK economy then - neolithic and run by crusty old geezers in tobacco stained gentlemen's clubs?!
Vod will sour - not soar
This is sore - cut the Vod sp with a saw
I smell desperation in your VOD will soar comment Avo
Sorry you’re down here
FTSE might be a bit of a drag on the sp again today. Happy top up time. As someone else has mentioned the mispricing of assets will eventually correct itself and VOD will soar.
Good grief jax you sound like a doom monger with the sky going to fall in and the worlds going to end .Are you one of these people that's going to run round shouting don't panic don't panic we are all going to lose our jobs the ice caps are melting and we are all going to be flooded.
I can assure you life will go on markets go up and down and some will carry on making money and that's what it is, and how it works. Why don't you find something else to worry about and move on so others can have a little fun.
"Not just on Vod’s colossal debt pile but on ordinary folk being squeezed so not upgrading to the latest iPhone. Look at Apple"
---
Per this logic, they keep their and pass on phone upgrade. Again, everything is relative. Vods debt is within the norm and easily manageable. Its part of their business model.
"Vod is a dinosaur which sits nicely into Germany’s crumbling 19th century economy."
---
Ah you mean germany is crumbling but US isn't?
"You wouldn’t want all your eggs in that basket. "
-------
Vod itself has a hedged business model
This may well drop, who knows? Nobody!
The goal for most is eventually a growth share in a great brand, that offers a solution to an ever increasing need for communication with a 10% yield because you had the conviction to buy when others called it out.

The economic news coming out of Germany cannot be ignored
The rate rises since Feb 2022 cannot be ignored

Morning jax, the trouble is you don't see this SP the same way many other posters seeit.
I guess many on here are NOT long term holders and therefore don't give a fig how much the SP has fallen over the last few years, they /we are short term holders making money and so buying at anything from 65p- 80p .
Who really cares about what's happened in the past , it's what is happening now and that's what it is, that is what it is and all your negativity means sod all to most.
Fundamentally speaking the question is what constituted the sp to be hovering around 1.4 in feb 2022 and what constitutes the sp to be in the region of 0.7 today?
The markets are currently mispricing assets across a number of sectors, which is bound to self correct in due course. This is also applicable to peers of vod small or large. Simply look at Swisscom and Telstra where each of their respective market cap is almost equal to that of vod and bt combined!
Shame if vod was to be acquired taken off the market as that likelihood is increasing for every passing day with cash and short liquid investments north of 18bn = current market cap.
Much of the current turmoil in the UK markets are self inflicted thanks to a series of ignorant poor governmental policies over the past two decades preventing the UK to become and remain its competitive edge.
For me, I am loading massively on vod. Increased my holding by 25% yesterday and am inclined to add more.
All the best to you all.
Looking like another step down for Vod
1-2% - it is what it is, is what it is
