Real revenue down. Impact of contract rises on customer churn yet to appear. Plan to dilute share of UK market, the one Europe area that is growing. Low real cash flow (the one not fiddled with).
Looking good today guys, let's hope we can hold onto it, and keep growing from here
Yes Sid, the upgrades that should ensue will provide momentum needed to get back to £1 and beyond.
Good update
Looking forward to the new wave of rating upgrades
Thats a good update and confirmation VOD can deliver guidance.
Lots of opportunities and initiatives in the pipeline.
I like the CFO appointment too.
Just need to hold tight now. Just as hard when the SP is going up LoL

VOD tankers is coming about, discard those life-jackets and slap on factor 50, VOD is about to hot up !
So Q4 was 2,821 and its now 2,819. Unless Q1 is normally seasonally higher then that implies from a revenue standpoint we are broadly flat now. And the YoY comparatives are because of drops that happen last year and the annualisation effect of the drop. Obviously we could still be down customer's and the Avg Revenue per customer is up to offset but looking good on the comparatives once we get past the tail (eg the annualisation effect)
72.50 My prophecy
Jax you’re still determined. Bless you.
Oh no Jax. WORNG AGAIN!! HAHAHAH
When will you learn to keep your mouth shut.
Anyone know how Germany is doing sequentially?
As numbers quoted are vs PY, even the Q4 numbers are % over PY.
Have we caught the tail yet, eg if we are up sequentially (assuming no other cyclical things happen between quarters) then the % decline is business we lost last year after Q1 so we have a tail to catch but underlying we aren't losing more German customers
Your an I'd.iot
I'm in :-)
All IMHO DYOR
Happy
This is not good
Via Bloomberg:
"Vodafone reported service revenue growth of 3.7% versus an average estimate of 2.9%, according to analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. The company also reiterated full-year guidance."
Thats substantially above analyst expectations. Should be a positive day... (ducks into trench, grabs kevlar, puts on helmet)
Like for like will exclude disposals, for example VF Hungary would have been in last years figures.
They are like for like on q1, the comments are against q4.
"As we progress our plans to transform Vodafone, we have achieved a better service revenue performance across almost all of our markets. We have delivered particularly strong trading in our Business segment and returned to service revenue growth in Europe."
How does that stack up with the reduction in total revenue from 11b to 10b?
Lying or what?
jr
Jaxi50 - They is a right miserable lot on here, but don't let it get you down, Vodafone is unlikely to go any higher anytime soon and you has been right every time.

Jax, as robleo has proved with his very fair & reasoning posts to you, you are totally incapapable of any intelligent reasoning. All you are doing is making yourself look a complete fool. We all know you are negative about vod, O.K. Just stop going on,& on about it. Go away & get a life. Nobody is taking it personal, apart from you. Why? Because most on here really don't like you. Is that personal enough for you? Personally I think you are a complete idiot.
