Hmm, I did that yesterday at 77ish. Two more tranches to go. Target 30k shares.
“Now RR is over hyped and overvalued. From one extreme to another. “
RR has a long way to go yet, I’m guessing you haven’t got any.
The decision to stop inflation increases is far from being decided. Spring next year and then to take effect about 4 months from then . And even then increases can still be writing into contracts which who reads these days . This share is cheap cheap so I’m loading up . Plus we reach further than the uk unlike Bt . Buy low sell high
I don't think the SP drop is anything to do with Divi's or poor management in the short term , it's all to do with the government looking to stop price rises in mid contracts for all phone & broadband companies.
So the market is just dropping all targets and getting ready for lower profits to come in the next few years, which will in the long term hit profits and Divi's I guess.
"Mate I’m unsure what planet your currently residing on but there’s more chance that the market will suspend Vodafone shares than them ever getting to 140. Of course most here hope you are right.

Time will tell who is right.
Mesh says - For a complete takeover 140 is a minimum.

"You don't need proof for MDV job.. Broker downgrade, currentshare price all reflecting her leadership."

Says it all!
You don't need proof for MDV job.. Broker downgrade, currentshare price all reflecting her leadership.
By the way I like her saying " Vodafone not good enough! LOL
"Lol 😂 This may end in tears for some including me. I’m experimenting something since this year Q2 and "
VOD total to £400k no cfd. It was average 80p a share at the time; now after 2 dividends it’s 73ish a share so it’s still a -10% while S&P500 +16%. What a year lol maybe it’s an expensive lesson or an ill timing.

Just sit tight. They are flushing the weak hands.
At the current price, an offer of 100 will look generous and I am suspecting an offer will emerge shortly, which would prove the market wrong. For a complete takeover 140 is a minimum.
At about 65.7p
Lse2000
Do you have proof that MDV is not doing a good job? You use the highly manipulative stock market to arrive at your conclusion?
What aspects of what she communicated do you find unacceptable?
Lol 😂 This may end in tears for some including me. I’m experimenting something since this year Q2 and spearheaded VOD total to £400k no cfd. I agree that the dividend is an issue for the market, but the debt is manageable even at current levels. The interest on the debt is currently around €1 billion a year and that will come down if the company embarks on a debt reduction program. The biggest outlay is capital additions (capex) of around €8 Billion a year. If they can reduce capex and Net Debt in line with disposals then cash flow shouldn't drop too much and may even increase.
Fleccy, indeed.
Now RR is over hyped and overvalued. From one extreme to another.
Only Vodacom is trading at over 10bn!
I don’t think anyone knows if she’s doing a good job or not as she’s not been at the helm long enough, it’s a big old ship to turn. I guess we’ll find out sooner or later. The question is do you stick around to find out? It’s currently being day traded to death. I’ve always believed the value is in the brand, infrastructure and customer base, but non of the above are liquid. Lots of people are going to do well out of this share, which side of the line that is, I really don’t know now!
For anyone feeling down, just look at the Rolls Royce 5 year chart. Rolls Royce dipped to 39p in October 2020, and touching 70p in October 2022, now over 300p. The market is designed to psychologically test retail investors to breaking point, I'll just keep holding and waiting.

Nothing seriously wrong, its a dividend trap plain and simple. mountain of debt. showing as a yield of nearly 12% which is plainly on the face of it extremely high, but it is obviously will not be paying out divi at that level when the next one is due.. it will be paired back to somewhere around 6% in an effort to cut the debt mountain and still better than a cash isa. so you either believe that divis will be paid out at the current 12% yield level or you dont. The market is telling what it thinks right now
STILL THINK SHES DONE A GOOD JOB? WOW
Jax old lad, you’re right! What amazes me is that I don’t think any of the 20k I’m down has gone in your pocket. God knows with the hours you’ve put into the board you deserve it.
Got to ask you Jax.. can’t hope noticing that 100% of your post on LSE are on the VOD forum? I presume you don’t own VOD.. does that mean you don’t any other stock?
Something seriously wrong happening with this company... FTSE 100 share trading like a AIM share.. Margharitta need to sacked and get this company basics right. Share price is at historic low and not even cheap.. With Debt mountain, paying huge dividend and regulators in the middle, this company need drastic changes.
I feel sorry for long term investors.
Suspend the share price
PotatoSpacechips, thank you for your very informative and reassuring comment! Concerning dividends, we’ll see, maybe a small reduction this time could impact positively on the SP.
50 Avi?
Looks like another downgrade from brokers today...
