CSDI. Thank you for your post, & support, Clearly there is one on here who has taken a big dislike to me. Of course he is entitled to his opinion, & I think I may try & take his advice & not post to him any more. He seems to have succeeded in his quest to drive away many opinions on here. There is always a danger, when someone accuses others of bullying, they turn in to one themselves. However I wish him well, as of course I may be reading him wrong, & he is just trying to keep the peace. You beat him to the Nobel prize though, any day! Good luck to patience & all.
I think these is the most undervalued stock on LSE at the moment... I'm adding a lot of my spare cash into this share... happy with two dividends a year!
Dan - I thought your SP Analysis was perfect LOL including its hidden message !
Spread betting can be great if you have tight control over it.
The issue is temporary price slips, fat finger trades or market mayhem for 5 mins.
In July 2005, I was very lucky to make over £1000 in a day when FTSE fell few hundred pts and bounced staright back.
But in Feb 2007 got wiped out when the Dow Jones slipped over 1000 pts and despite having stop loss in place at 100 pts it got bypassed and CMC Markets closed my position emptying my account and demanding funds. The Dow was back to where it was when I looked at 8am next day and could not believe my account had a minus balance !!
you win some , you lose some. So no point moaning when it goes wrong as no one forces us to bet or buy shares etc.
Needless to say, not gone back to S-B-ing as can't afford to lose.
A nice day for my HY shares today for a change !
Cheers and take care Dan
Agree these days are long gone...pity.
I am afraid that your usual offensive remarks where you are incredibly rude and abusive continue. I fail to see how you can get away with this abuse like you have some sort of right to be dishing it out. Please think and be nice. You did have a snide dig at Mikey again earlier , probably don't realise as it is so second nature to you now to be anti Mikey. To think there was a campaign against Mikey, a man who never stoops to personal insults that continue from you daily.
Dear Miss Understood, even when Mikey doesn't post here you still **** him off. Please try not to mention Mikey or myself for a good while.
CSDI Good luck with all you shares. Although I have no intention of selling my vod shares at the moment, & welcome the high divi, I have learnt one thing, not to buy a share just for the high divi, as it comes straight out of the share price. My share price analysis by the way, was supposed a joke about a very repetitive poster on here. --- SSE reminds of the good old days, when you could buy privatised shares at a bargain price, I bought shares in most of the electricity companies, & made a lot of money. A different world now of course.
You certainly need lots of patience with VOD.
I almost bought some today, but common sense reminded me not to. I can't cope with VOD stress as well as other shares.
So decided to put my money into simlar yielding SSE. No doubt will struggle there too, but can wait until much later date to have another go with VOD. Will need to sell some of my GSK or tobacco shares, but they're in enough trouble of their own LOL.
Patient has a nice little system that works for him, but I cannot spare enough to have more than one batch, so would almost certainly end up stuck in the mud.
Cheers for now - CSDI
Nice finish though, if you are patient. I Hope the Daq holds too. Good luck.
CSDI, I can answer you properly now, having just emerged from the cellar after three days' hard work down there. My previous post on the recent movements downwards refers. I added all the way down to 125.7p and then ran out of cash. I am now waiting for it to rise to 126p when I could sell a tranche. My recent purchases average out at 128.83 to sell to recover the outlay. There is no reason why the sp should not approach that number in the next month, is there?
Sorry to hear your grief in other shares.
It's gone back up again this evening. Hope the Daq holds ... 126p tomorrow would be great. I am doing paperwork and not down in the cellar putting in underfloor heating pipes.
Oh well - it was good while it lasted for a few hours
Maybe not - nice little upturn again - have a good day folks
Looks like the voda drop has started early today !!!
Hi Dan, not sure how my strategy works, but if I miss an opportunity because I am up a ladder or on the road, it's not the end of the world, there are others. After the recent falls, the sp is back in my zone today so I will keep the mobile on to check every now and again. I will start reducing once the sp reaches 126p.
Hi. C.S.D.I. Sorry If I am treating you as a vod forum buddy, But some on here seem to think I am a bully. Ok so, I have tried to bully you many times, but do you listen, or care? I just hope you don't accuse me of being drunk, which I was accused of by one unhappy poster, simply because I posted at 1.20 am. He also had a pop at me because I said that some of my positive posts were based on wishful thinking. I wish & think the sp will go up!!?? Sorry for that, but I am miss understood & you are the only one who can help me!!!??? You just have to laugh. Anyway, sorry about all your other shares doing badly, (Loser)! But of course, I as always, wish you luck. Dan, Dan, The vodafone man.
Hi Dan - Does not work for me as not enough capital to make it work.
I would need at least 2.5% increase to cover commission and SD on my limited capital.
If SP stays around here I may be tempted before next ex div. My last trade took 9 weeks to make 2.5% profit after all costs.
If I could "guarantee" that once every 3 months I would be delighted as makes 10% p.a.
But as we all know, never any guarantees - esp with VOD
Cheers - CSDI
Hi. C.S.D.I. Are you tempted to try The Patient's Strategy? I suppose looking back at the graph today it might have worked, but I guess I resent paying all that stamp duty, so would wait for larger movements than just a penny or so. I think spread betting would be more cost affective, but you would have to be glued to the screen all day, to get in & out at the right time. I don't know how Patient does it, without falling off his ladder?! Good luck though patient, let us know because we are dying to know how you are doing, I suppose though you should concentrate on your building work. Vod just beat the FTSE today, so better than nothing. Good Luck everybody.
Patient,
How's the trading for pennies going ?
Are you back into buy territory yet.
You should patent your strategy to help other VOD patients suffering severly with loss of life symptoms caused by the VOD SP.
PS. I am just spectating on VOD for now as fully invested in other disasters of a Titanic proportion of which some head south with reckless speed. (CEY, GSK, IMB, RDSB are main culprits) LOLs
