"As I've said before I just don't understand all the high broker targets or rather why they would all be so daft. Seems to me that a return to 130ish is the best we can hope for."

Then either you go neutral or you short it. What's the fuss about? This is a not a court room - sorry.
As I've said before I just don't understand all the high broker targets or rather why they would all be so daft. Seems to me that a return to 130ish is the best we can hope for.
No problem Robleo
I have just filtered the ones who feel they are the only ones who have the right to comment on here. A lot of green filtered messages now :)
Yea sorry mate , your right about that, i want this to do well as much as anyone else, and i am hopefull that it will given a bit of time, and the last report was more promising, i just find it difficult to tolerate rude people sometimes
robleo. Oh well at least that one is settled then? It's all your fault? Come on, what happened to the good humoured banter? Some of course may think they know more than us, if you don't like it, just take the Mikey? Don't call them idiots, o.k. some of them are?
Compound, thanks for that mate, I have a lot of respect for you, flecci and moleman, and others who give your informative views without being rude to people on here
Oh Dear, it looks like I might have stirred things up here today, sorry Mikey mate, I think you know I didn't mean any offence to you, but there are some Idiots on here who think they know it all, sadly I don't think they do, but (DYOT, do your own thinking) on that, I know Dan likes that one
Hope we have a better day tomorrow
Good evening Mikey, dan and everyone.
Yo Dan, I am not an agony uncle. In fact need an agony aunt myself. Actually, I have been sulking all day because of VOD's poor performance once again. There's nothing I can help you or anyone here. Sorry.
Luckily, not all my shares performed badly. Many were blue, which has soothed my pain a bit but VOD is the biggest holding. Its loss weighs heavily on my portfolio. Now let's bring on tomorrow and see if it will be better.....
So, good luck to you Dan, Mikey and everyone. Have a great evening!

Mikey. You really do have a thing about other posters running the board? I don't think I run this board, & I don't think cheapshareboy thinks he does either? Perhaps you want to run this board? I do think though, you should fix your filter, because it obviously doesn't work? Or are you just pretending? Anyway, you all know by now, this board is run by the vodafone Amigo's. I am joking of course! Give us a smile Mikey, It wont hurt, I promise!
Sorry, delete the extra are, typo!
Cheapshareboy.. Sorry mate, but you are not are making a lot of sense with your garbled posts!
Haha clueless clown - another filtered - bye of friend of danielh - another idiot who thinks he runs this board
The man Mikey is a clueless clown, not correct.
When the sp has gone sideways for a year, then he cannot be right. He is bored. That is what he is, hel bored.
Anyway he doesn't interest me in the least so I'm not going to post this sort of tribe again, apologies
Cheapsharesboy. "Mikey is right" I think that was meant as a joke?! A Mikey mouse clock perhaps?
Mikey is right!
Give me a break even broken clock is right twice daily.
Since November low of £1, it hit 137p in six weeks from that and has gone sideways ever since between 112/113p - 142p
As far as I know Mikey says it only goes down
So he is clearly wrong.
It's gone sideways.
I've not been tight either but neither has he.
It's been a tradeds sideways share for a year
Hi robleo. It sounds like Mikey has got a new job as chief financial vodafone share adviser, He use's the, what goes down, must go down theory! As for me, Dan is not for turning. I use the live in hope theory! Good luck everybody.
The update was good and all things being equal this should rise from it. I think today is just traders taking advantage of the Asian markets wetting the bed after the Chinese clamp down to close a few gaps. SP is currently sitting on an upward support line that started last Monday afternoon, and the highs from last Thursday a week last Friday. You can almost feel them thinking about whether to bounce from here or to close the gap on the sub daily charts at 115.76. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see a spike down to that level, maybe on US Open. Honestly think that once that's done it's onwards and upwards, unless the wider market has another COVID / inflation wobble and takes a dive again, although if it does the support at around 112p looks good.
eccles. It sounds like you are real expert, & so modest as well?!
Good morning robleo, fellow depressed shareholders, friends and countrymen.
I don't think we need financial advisors here but only agony aunts to soothe our pain. Most shares of my portfolio has turned from red to blue, even Lloyds has reduced from 0.76p to only 0.12p loss but VOD is still well down. If the great Q1 results and a new share buy back program unable to save the SP, can anyone of you positive posters suggest what else can? Oh dear me....
There has been lot's of intellectual prople making predictions here over the last few years, and it's great to hear all your different views, but no disrespect meant to any of you, but upto date, the only one who has got it right so far, is mikey, make what you like of that guys, and i think any financial expert would advise on a balanced portfolio
Cheers
These days Eccles they need to be qualified to Level 4 as a minimum (HNC) although the good ones are Chartered (Level 6). I agree that historically most of them have been about as much use as a chocolate teapot as they were just salesmen for the big insurance companies/fund houses, and didn't really have a clue what they were doing, although it's slowly changing for the better.
You won't find a financial advisor though who will give you advice on the price movement of any individual share as that's not their job and they aren't authorised to do it. As far as investment advice goes they will usually just try to get you the average market return by investing in a portfolio of funds.
I'm also a qualified CFO, but I have never provided retail investment advise to anyone, as the careers are totally different. I only know two IFA's and can only make a comment about them, not the average because as I say, I only know two. Both whom have provided me with worthwhile advise.
Very surprising that the rise has not continued. That last quarter results were solid and robust. Deserves to keep moving higher.
Erm have to contradict robleo (no offence) but the average "financial adviser" is o-level standard and not very professional IMO and in my experience. I am well qualified to make these remarks having been a qualified CFO for many years before retirement.
Dan i believe you, yea bring on tomorrow morning then, i can't wait, buy bye, lots luck, and don't you go doing any u turns on me now
