Gary well done mate, when you asked the question, I was thinking it could work well for you, if you got the timing right, and it sounds like you did well with that one
what a rollercoaster week though guys, and what will happen tomorrow, 3% up maybe, probably not, but a good day would be appreciated
Good job Gary, it's always great to sell then buy back at the right time. This is one thing I can never do. Well done!
Robleo thanks for asking - "I wonder what Gary decided ?" Well mate after careful consideration & a good read of what the people I most respect in the investing world have to say I brought back in earlier today. The upshot of trading 50% of my 16,000 VOD holding this week is that I now have an additional 159 shares to that I had at the start of the week, for the same money including costs. I shall now hold for about a £600 divi in late July. Onwards & upwards to £1.65 is my humble prediction.
Just bought 18 strongbow ciders from Aldi for £11. That will keep me going for a few days I hope. But a strong bow, sorry strong buy from me.
Tin hat ? we will need a full suit of armour, if we keep losing 3% every day, and definitely some wine to stop us whining ?
Lets hope it don't happen
good luck all
I wonder what Gary decided ?
But anyway, have your tin hat ready everyone!(oh dear, not again!!).......
Let's hope that there's no need..........lol
Yes, the exchange rate is now out of date.
It should be £1=$1.4056
Therefore 19.87/1.4056/10=141.36p
You were correct, my mistake, sorry.
I worked it out with £1=$1.39.
Therefore $19.87/1.39/10=142.95p
Maybe my exchange rate has now changed. I'll check again in a minute.
S.I.D.I. i'm not sure how you get ADR price =142.95. Vod ADR 19.87 (now 19.89) x exch rate 71.16 = 141.39. or (now) 141.53. The difference however I think is to due to the 1/2 stamp duty we pay, but the U.S. don't.
And I'd only just put my tin hat away this morning.
Looks like it will be needed tomorrow again. Don't like wearing my Tin Hat, but sometimes there is no choice.
Can I go back to Monday and cancel my purchase - it's seems to have started a nasty reaction to our beloved share.
Fingers crossed for all Amigos and Musketeers.
Cheers - CSDI
seen_it_drink_it. You need a good pair of beer goggles, then you would be more positive! Cheers Amigo's! Will us drinkers be drowning our sorrows this weekend? I hope not.
sidi, you know how to spoil a party lol, fasten seat belts for tomorrow then, you may need a drink if this continues ?
The Dow is down 670(1.98%)....... looks bad for tomorrow. Probably will be another massacre. Seems that the markets correction is now under way.
Wine is better than whine but I don't drink.......lol
Yes amigo robleo, we are back to 140 again( only just). It seems that the FTSE100 future is red again. Maybe this will go below 140 once more when the markets open tomorrow morning. Let's hope not.
VOD ADR current SP: $19.87 equivalent to 142.95p per ordinary share here. No idea why the ADR is more expensive than the ordinary shares here.
Nice to get some of yesterdays losses back today guys, blood pressure is starting to return back to normal now, let's hope it keeps pushing upwards now, will be interesting to see the close price of Friday, agree about the German wine, much sweeter than the French, quite like the asti as well, expensive wine wasted on me
I do wine occasionally as well, regularly in fact, I guess you prefer the French, to the Spanish? I actually like German wine! Ok, so I am no wine expert! But I like, what I like. What would annalisa say?? German wine from Aldi's? No way. Far too cheap.
I always say that I prefer musketeers, lol
Now then what did I say wrong? I thought you know that I am half a moaner here. Not as bad as Mikey and Annalisa but I am one of the big losers here. I do whine occasionally........ hahahaha....
Now now SIDI. Those aren't the words of a true vod Amigo.. Shame on you!
Really? Will they take mine as well. 195p is just my break even point. How nice if I could offload my pile of sh*t.....lol
I've just sold all my shares to someone called Goldman Sachs for £1.95 each. what a good deal eh. He sounded genuine?
Goldman Sachs reiterates buy with a target price of 195p.
