Jono44 - Ive only bought into VLS recently I'm averaging around 7.6p but intent to buy more. Im not too bothered if it drops as I will top up. This is very much a long term share. It may spike now and again up to 10p or 12p but will probably fall back again until it starts in earnest in which I can see a steady rise. Im building up a position to keep in for the next 5-10 years. Best of luck for the future ; GG
Hi, GG
Did notice that you posted here and were one of a few honest posters on ceg.
A few not so honest but you get that on every board but that's part and parcel of bb's.
As for Vls I'm still doing research but doesn't seem to be anything of concern yet at least.
They are on aim which is not as good as a standard listing but doesn't mean they aren’t a good company but not regulated as well as a standard listed company.
They have been around for a long time though as Oxford Catalysts in a different life.
But do seem to be moving forward with more meaning now and don't have any concerns with directors, a big thing for me as have a few on blacklist.
Big step will be uk plant, but also Bayou Fuels in US and the work with Toyo engineering should not be discounted, any news on these fronts will only move sp in right direction as happened with the SAF off take that they recently announced.
But no doubt you know all this and probably more as you've been here longer than me.
After losing out with bpc/ceg it does tend to make people see things differently and not to get duped by misleading posters and bad directors and do more thorough research.
Good luck.
Hi Jono44, Read your posts with interest on that dog of a share CEG. What are your thoughts on Velocys. What truly excites me about this company is the IP's and patents and the developing market. I am not familiar with this market but from the research, I have carried out it looks like an exciting share to be in and very much a long term hold. The calibre of the board look a world apart from the rabble in CEG yet it is an AIM Share. Would be very interested to find out your interest in here. I am trying to build up a position in VLS over the next 24 months. Good luck and all the best for 2022. GG.
They 'casually' slipped it into a very formal RNS.
How did they casually slip this in, what are you on about.
Clearly stated in half year report as well as other rns's.
Maybe suggest you read rns's and reports and stop writing misleading posts!

The 2027 production date was announced before the £25m fundraise. You're whining about nothing.
The date change is probably an outcome of the SAF blending bill that was passed in the US last month as they announced SAF credits are due to begin in 2027. The market for SAF is developing almost daily and government incentives are likely to play a huge part in when investors decide the time is right to commit.
The specific on the plant date might be old news but the more generic point is that they have been setting targets they then fail to meet - not good for potential investors.
To regain trust they need to set some targets and meet them.
loosely,
The point I'm trying to raise is why bring this up now, it's old news.
Maybe relevant when first stated but not now, months later.

jono: the documents you quoted are published after the June 2021 placing document. However, if you go back what was said about Altalto prior to June 2021 you find in the Placing Circular of June 26, 2020 the following: "The second quarter of 2021 is the targeted date for the commitment to be made for full FEED. Construction of the plant is targeted to commence in 2022 and is currently targeted to be completed by the end of 2024, following commissioning and commercial operations are expected to commence during 2025."
Not sure why this has been raised now as it is clearly not the case that Velocys have pushed back the completion date.
According to the half year report in November and the rns on 17th dec, as also stated by 2phevs, they clearly state 2027 for commercial operations and 2026 for construction completion.
Can I ask jzchat and expratbrat to share why they believe "VLS have pushed back completion date by two years"
thanks
As much as expat-twat sound like a broken record on this chat, VLS have pushed back the completion date by two years this time, which doesn't sit well with me either. I am invested in the company and believe they have potential but changing the narrative on the time line for AltAlto does raise questions, mainly why? If anybody knows I would be happy to hear it. Especially since they have raised a large chunk of cash recently.
Thanks. So a confirmed slippage into 2027. According to their original plan, they should have had an operating plant by now.
Maybe they should hold off on their bonuses until they actually make material progress ?
Here we go the written fact from expatbrat (that rhymes as well) defo he/she is a disgruntled ex employee "he's heard" mmmm
Heard that the UK plant completion date has now slipped from 2025 to 2027? I can’t find any info on this but apparently is the case.
Even though the placing rns states 2027 commencement huge ii investment at 8p
The first geotechnical work is ongoing, and detailed engineering is expected to commence in 2023. Financial close is expected in 2024, with construction of the plant being targeted to commence in 2024 and to be completed by mid-2026, following which commissioning and startup will commence in 2027 with full scale commercial operation expected in 2027.
You found this in the "Proposed Placing and Offer" document dd 25-Nov-21:
...Financial close is expected in 2024,...and startup will commence in 2027 with full scale commercial operation expected in 2027.
@expatbrat- so if you can't find it in writing anywhere where did you hear about it?
