Sad to see you go sisteract.Just wish us well on the rocky waves as you go.I would have sold out way on different news than a directors buys personally and the market seemed to agree.
Real buys and not options!!Hallelujah.Makes a change for aim.Unless this is part of some demonic grand plan to deceive shareholders (well you can never put it totally past an aim outfit can you), most aim ceos and directors don't even bother trying to pretend they're just on the make for themselves.
There is a note in the final results "Certain information contained in this announcement would have constituted inside information (as defined by Article 7 of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014) prior to its release as part of this announcement". This would of meant a black out period for any of the Velocys bods being able to buy shares prior to this announcement (1 month?) hence I guess the timing. But yes agree 200k shares is not a lot at all and would be good policy if they continued going forward.
Those that have a lot of money tend to, by nature, think carefully before they even spend a penny. In the grand scheme of things £10k is not a lot, however, they would not spend it if there was an imminent danger of the company going under.
Having said that, 12 months is not a lot of time for them to get their hands on new cash.
This seems a classic case of director buys to reassure the markets. £10k is next to ZIP.
There is no getting away from the fact that the financials are not good and would in my opinion be high on the scale of a bankruptcy risk. More fund raising is close to inevitable in my opinion.
I have been a shareholder but sold out today on this news at a loss.

Either that or they now have confidence that this venture is likely to bear fruit finally:-)
Lip service in extremis! With their wages and bonuses (funded through placings and grants), this pittance purchase is laughable.
Let’s see some meaningful buys by the people in the know!!
Excellent, finally a show of confidence from the man at the top. Only 200,000 but still it's the message it sends out which is important.
What? Do my eyes deceive me ? ! At last - must of been my tweeting that did it chaps ha ha ! GLA.
Nice to see Director's buying, gives confidence for the future. GLAAH
