Biofuels out there? Where?
VLS process is unproven, unfinanced, with no permission to build. Biofuels are far from available.
Strong bounce here today ? Maybe
EPB: Language please. You have obviously pre-judged the outcome of the planning application based on the assumption that NE will prevail, any appeal will fail and VLS will run out of funds. This is based entirely on your predictions and is by no means the view of many others including, I presume, the IIs. Greenpeace et al would seem to be getting a bit of a kicking in the media for being unrealistic re Heathrow.
If anything, the Heathrow Third Runway outcome really opens the way for BioFuels and for VLS. It was part of the argument in trying to get the third runway and will ultiamtely be part of the eventual mix. The market is there.
Watch out for tomorrow. I see us doing 20 to 25%.
Turd. Please consider context. It’s good for biofuels but bad for Velocys due to their poor performance on the NGO front. It’s not convoluted; you’re just blinkered.
EPB: Gosh, that was a short sabbatical!! Comparing this project with the third runway project having previously (and wrongly) condemned me for comparing it with HS2 is a bit rich. Having initially (13.33) come out with a "this is bad for VLS" judgement, you have subsequently backtracked to agree with others that the judgement can be viewed as positive for bio fuels but then sought to qualify it in VLS's case by suggesting that their project is not "Green". Suggest you resume your all too short sabbatical and save us all from trying to follow your convoluted logic.
...to add.
I dont think VLS can convince them without a considerable amount of rework needed to mitigate their pollutants and discharge.
Lets not forget this is supposed to be a 'green' project. Its far from that right now - just like the third runway.
In that sense, yes the judgement puts focus on the need for biofuels, to offset growth of aviation. However, it also shows that getting on-side with the environmentalists is key to this and demonstrated the power they have today. NE have set their stall out and its up to VLS to convince them otherwise.
Investmaster - Have you actually read the judgement?
My point is that this judgement is very good for Velocys..It will prompt the airport authorities and the government to speed up the need for biofuels for their net Zero target. There is a white paper on aviation fuels due...maybe that will include the need for companies like Velocys.????
For those of you who are interested, so not Investmaster, the whole Court of Appeal judgement can be downloaded from this link https://jmp.sh/8QQqoJ5. There is a discussion on the Habitats Regulation Assessment from around page 25
Expratt You are so ridicules..clutching at straws as always...
At last a sensible post. Spot on. Bravo.
The third runway court outcome is great news for VLS. Environmentally friendly approaches to any kind of human travel will do well in the coming years.
The SP is being held back. orders being filled.
Why is it up 15% then?
This is bad news for VLS. Shows the importance of getting the environmental impact of the project understood and correctly communicated. Cross the Greens at ones peril - starting with NE...
Great news for Velocys..this will highlight the need for environmental fuels. Grant Shapps pretty much said this a few minutes ago.
Third auction . Very very interesting price action.
Judges stated that a third runway could go ahead in future if plans were in line with the UK’s climate commitments.... - just needs a revamp -
I was not planning on posting on here until after the planning application had been decided but I thought I would flag this article up https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51658693 I have not read it in full. The short version is that the Court of Appeal has quashed the Heathrow Terminal Three decision.
