Vela may be negotiating, but its on potential only not a product.
Inlay man’s terms, 58% success rate on phase 3 trials with 20% failure due to lack of funding.
Parma has more cowboys that a rodeo.
Just my thoughts, but if SGSC get a good offer on it,they will sell. Personally i hope they do as i dont want to wait another few years before they get this drug to market.
Interesting times ahead for this one.
It would be great if there was a bidding war for this drug between the big pharma's; watch this space.
Yes roy i love my thinking as well, lol, :)))))),Lvu333
That’s long term so if SGSC want a quick turn around then they might sell it
Ha Ha Lvu33: Love the enthusiasm… I don’t think vela is on its own on this and doubt it has a spare £20 million for Phase 3. That’ll be another 4 year wait as they target 1 – 3 thousand patients in various geographical locations. Phase 4 before you can determine long term effects another 7 year wait. Then of to market it goes pending demand. In the meantime I’ve got to get dinner on the table.
:-))))
Also it all depends really what SGSC do. Do they sell or do they do the trials themselves then sell.
It is an SGSC decision. How much do they need the money for their business?
How long are they willing to wait for trials and approvals etc?
It could take another two or three years to get trials, approvals, selling it done.
So it is possible that Vela shareholders need to wait a while longer for the outcome of this one,its all down to SGSC.
I suppose depending on what decision SGSC make, then Vela can act accordingly as they see fit,i would imagine that Vela will hold onto their investment with SGSC because of the massive potential. :)))))), Lvu333
Cheers Lvu333 I love your thinking £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ gla
Well roy29, if SGSC sell the AZD1656 outright, i would imagine that they would want a very good price for it; especially if the drug has the potential for saving lives. How do you put a price on that? Millions and millions of £££££££££££. £200million maybe? Who knows.
If SGSC are successful then Vela are successful. I have no idea how much in monetary terms Vela would make from it,but considerably well i would imagine. The share price would go up if Vela made millions from it.
Have a great night, :)))))), Lvu333
So dose anyone have any idea how much AZD1656 could be worth to Vela if someone just buys it or how much would Vela get if it commercialised this is the big question. I’m hold for gold gla
Having now been peer reviewed is a step in the right direction.
Absolutely UncleJ.
Keep the faith!
Well there both up for the day, if it was that bad then we both CIZ and Vela would have dropped further. At the end of the day the update has only confirmed that the talks are still ongoing.
Market showing no interest, not that impressed by the results by the looks of it, same on CIZ so both can't be wrong. Gla.
Dummy sell of 20M shares gives me .0284p.
Dummy buy of 20M shares shows comes in as a Negotiated Order which is good as the MMs want our shares because there's not enough electronic stock out there. The spread just now was nowhere near 30%.
Time to hold methinks
Only 10% down now . Buy hold for gold . Gla
Igraine haven’t bothered to report this news yet. SP is now 0.9 / 1.1 which represents 50% loss on the bid price. Quote from RNS “and the Board of Vela is therefore of the view that Igraine's current quoted market price is not a true reflection of the underlying value of the business.” I agree, it is worth much less. :-)
I thought the remaining warrants were due to expire next week but not so. The relevant RNS states the warrants are exercisable for a period of 18 months from Admission Date of the associated Placing Shares and not the RNS date, so that should mean 16 Sept is the key date.
BigDave also to add to that there was this line in the report which was a little concerning - ''Phase 2 trials of this size carry the risk of false positive results and confirmation of these results in a larger clinical trial is now required''.
Personally I think if we can get our money back (£2.35m) we sell. £2.35m represents well over 50% of our MCap currently.....
I will caveat this with the fact i have no experience whatsoever in the pharma industry so would hope VELA have someone with a decent grasp of knowledge in this sector to advise on what to do.
From Report
Interpretation - Although the trial did not achieve its primary endpoint, AZD1656 was associated with a decrease in deaths and a reduction in the duration of hospitalisation, as compared to Placebo. Immunophenotyping and immunochemistry indicated an immunomodulatory effect of AZD1656.
But it was successful, right? Maybe this is as good as it gets. Decision time - stick or sell!!!
Boom lol gla
Nt to buy 10m fill your boots gla
To be fair it looks the same as it has for a while now. But it's not bad news so we should be grateful for that, good to know it's still in play
Could go boom to day 0.0295 paid gla
We have a RNS look good gla
I was wondering that. It looks like a good journal to be published in and glad its not completely dead, so positive. BUT, why are our clowns not getting this information out to us. they really are not bothered.

Why no vela RNS - is it tea break & biscuit time?
