Thought that was both, dodgy research on myself then will have a look in a bit, if it is one or the other or both could be worth a few quid, have a good night
Okay. We don't.
''the Company has exercised the put option agreement to sell its economic interest in the commercialisation of the Covid-19 application of AZD1656 (the "Economic Interest") to Conduit Pharmaceuticals Inc. ("Conduit"), a company listed on the Nasdaq Global Market in the United States ("NASDAQ").''
I'm confused on what you thought CDT gave us £4m worth of shares for if we still kept the royalties?!
Yes
I'm not sure. Your answers aren't actually answering anything. Do you think VELA still get 8% royalties if AZ1656 gets commercialised?
Not at all, it was both as I read it, am I missing something?
You must be winding us up. What do you think CDT gave us £4m worth of shares for?
That’s how I read it, must be missing something, enlighten me thanks
Maybe he is an activist investor and will agitate for Board change.
8% lol
Postman you know we don't have the 8% royalty now though yeah?!
Covid drug and the 8% that vela will receive when and if it gets the green light from worldwide sales, most of the work has been completed,(could) be worth millions, but there you go , gla
He wouldn’t be able to buy “at the price it is” would he?
Not bad plan though is it!
Buy the company at the price it is - Sell everything, close it down and have £4m left lol
Chris has a "cunning plan"
What is it?
Yes nice to see Chris further increasing his stake here. Shaping up nicely will be "une grande année" for VELA in 2024

Another holdings update and increase. Happy new year all.
Here’s hoping all holders increase and CDT price increases too.
A time to buy.
My 1145000 BUY, showing as a SELL.
MMs playing games ???
Get into perspective,10cents rise equates to 81k am sure the bod have grasped that one,6/7/8 and even $10 dollars which is a solid price, patience required and you will be rewarded
E.G Our CDT shares value at time of writing this sentence £3,853,647 (@$4.835) but is now £3,761,987...or down £90k
Corrected my typo!!

I Agree. I was just merely pointing out the quarterly will not make good reading. Before xmas when the CDT SP i was $7 i was hoping it would stay around that range so we could release another quarterly update showing another increase in
portfolio value and keep the good news rolling, but unfortunately that won't be the case.
BigDave and I have both mentioned the website and shares held on the website but were told by a few other posters that this isn't a big deal as we should think bigger. I agree it needs looking at!
Agree again generally. But I think that given the size of the CDT investment of over a million shares, our portfolio can go up and down by £1m a day with the wild swings we have seen lately. Therefore our judgement should be based upon what we can gather day to day from the share price of these investments, not a quarterly update that is already 3 months out of date when published.
It would help hugely if the board updated the website with the number of shares held as then it is quite easy to work out the current value.
Way undervalued I agree, but shoddy housekeeping and poor communication is probably why
Hi Ltd Axis. the CDT had a book value of £4m in the September update due to that being the 'option value' , unfortunately after becoming a live investment the CDT SP dipped a little (SP was $4.55) on 29th Dec which effectively made the investment worth circa £3.7m so £300k less than the September update value. The Ensi price on 30th Sept was 69p whereas end of December it was 40p so again had a fairly significant effect on our holding there.
Agreed, CSFS and SKLS have seen an upturn in their SPs but as you said they aren't huge investments and are significantly outweighed by CDT and Ensi. Circa £60k uplift in those vs £500k downturn in CDT/ENSI...
But if CDT can move higher and the other continue to recover the outlooks should be fairly positive. Although we do not know what the BoD have sold to pay the wages etc.
Gambler: I agree to an extent with your comments below. We should however note that SKLand CSFS have increased notably since the end of September SKL 20p to 25p+ and CSFS 15p to 25p+. These two are not insignificant investments. CODE has also started a slow recovery and is slightly up during that period...another larger investment.
So despite the dropping ENSI ( which I think is way overdone) the portfolio is showing signs of picking up.
Also CDT was not live as such at the end of Sept, and the price at the end of Dec was a bit higher than at the time of exercise in early December.
A happy new year to all holders and patient investors. A nice quiet few days for bargain hunting. Agree re a notional quarterly report math issue, but given our belief in never saying anything sooner than ‘politely late’ we need not worry. Predict news on holdings, followed by some gentle CDT selling, then a delayed quarterly update, and who knows maybe some nice positive news from one or two of the core investments.
