its a prophylactic vaccine
Besides, the SCLP "COVID-vaccine" is probably just as far away as Valirx's COVID efforts (frankly, I do not understand the plausibility of either technology, both companies seem to have reasonably efficacious technologies in quite different oncology treatments).
From what I can see, Scancell have proposed to run a T-cell phase 1 trial "during 2021". OK, so T-cells have excellent potential, but it is slightly like taking a sledgehammer to an avocado. I would presume only terminally ill COVID patients would be treated with an expensive T-cell "vaccine"? Limiting the market somewhat.
Even if this treatment works, it would not plausibly be on the market before 2024, unless some seriously fast-track clinical trials are proposed (occasionally on terminally ill patients, you can leap over some hurdles, if they're dying in agony, it is harder to make things much worse). So really, it's a pipe-dream among 500 other COVID-related clinical trials.
thought you would be interested with the VAL201 Covid applications .. ... or as i would see it .. erh !!!!!!!!! i can't see the relevance
Cheers !
You have shown to posters here you are all sheep from Sclp perfect !
Lost any credibility you may have had !
bloddy hell - they're sending big guns over today.
one thinks viruses have nuclei, and tuther "Never really got AIM anyway".
Hate to see what the reservists look like.
yes - but is i called a nucleus? The answer is no - and you copied that from pubmed.
The coronaviral genome encodes four major structural proteins: the spike (S) protein, nucleocapsid (N) protein, membrane (M) protein, and the envelope (E) protein, all of which are required to produce a structurally complete viral particle [29, 37, 38]. More recently, however, it has become clear that some CoVs do not require the full ensemble of structural proteins to form a complete, infectious virion, suggesting that some structural proteins might be dispensable or that these CoVs might encode additional proteins with overlapping compensatory functions [35, 37, 39,40,41,42]. Individually, each protein primarily plays a role in the structure of the virus particle, but they are also involved in other aspects of the replication cycle. The S protein mediates attachment of the virus to the host cell surface receptors and subsequent fusion between the viral and host cell membranes to facilitate viral entry into the host cell [42,43,44]. In some CoVs, the expression of S at the cell membrane can also mediate cell-cell fusion between infected and adjacent, uninfected cells. This formation of giant, multinucleated cells, or syncytia, has been proposed as a strategy to allow direct spreading of the virus between cells, subverting virus-neutralising antibodies [45,46,47].
Unlike the other major structural proteins, N is the only protein that functions primarily to bind to the CoV RNA genome, making up the nucleocapsid [48]. Although N is largely involved in processes relating to the viral genome, it is also involved in other aspects of the CoV replication cycle and the host cellular response to viral infection [49]. Interestingly, localisation of N to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-Golgi region has proposed a function for it in assembly and budding [50, 51]. However, transient expression of N was shown to substantially increase the production of virus-like particles (VLPs) in some CoVs, suggesting that it might not be required for envelope formation, but for complete virion formation instead [41, 42, 52, 53].

The nucleocapsid protein (N-protein) is a structural protein that binds to the coronavirus RNA genome, thus creating a shell (or capsid) around the enclosed ...
id thought you were an expert, but you blew it when you said "goes after the nuclei". viruses dont have nuclei.
wait and see........ Covidity goes after the nucleus of the Virus as well as the spike ... which means its unaffected by any mutations of the Virus and should be good for at least 6 years cover
covid hides itself .... inside the cells of the lung away from neutralizing antibodies
only T cells can look inside infected cells . and kill them
that is what we are experts in ......... T cells that can take on the hardest targets .. cancer
just a tweak ...
Iwancko hates competition!
at last he's exercising himself...let it out boy, let it out, we'll help.
btw - that SCLP covidity vaccine looks smashin - shame everyone will be vaccinated by the time they've found some cells to try it in :-)
Barb - it’s a reasonable question. If you have no Financial interest here then you won’t be concerned about the study or what the shares do.
If you are invested and have specific questions you would address them to the company.
Expressing your concerns non stop on a share bulletin board is purely to try and get people to sell their shares to suit their own financial motives
Imo
Teamhanz, lol, we should redirect all the arguers to the LBG board - they love a good rumble (or grumble) on there!
absolutely NOT .......... why ...
No in house capability at all
CEO unproven ... indeed developed 401
Wants everything spun off in other vehicles which means you have no control over dilution or funding within them
Indicated the trial was halted for a "defined reason" .......... no explanation
All the data has been available to big pharma for at least 2 years including Val employing a dedicated liaison ? result ?
Requires at least another £5m invested to obtain the data of interest
why such a delay in the trial results when the majority already published .. so evidence only of the 8mg required or 4 patients .. not exactly rocket science
why no data on the approved 16mg
Not prepared to fund from the market
Totally reliant on a single product
thats to date ...
I'm in both and Sar and Imm.
Why all the silly ramping on another shares board.
Let's stick to Val kn this one please.
Its like supporting rival football teams and someones snuck into the home end and started chanting rival songs.....YOU'RE S~#T AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE...…..haha
Oh no please don't eyeguy
Inanaco- you haven’t answered my question. Do you own any shares in VAL?
I just find the whole val thing fascinating. So many trades. So much volatility and a lot of passion Never really got AIM anyway. You are right. Far too risky for me.
O wish you told me earlier such advice is so important , NOT !! Is share price is relevant to this ?
I could have posted on SCLP site if l thought help was needed but think you have enough posters in your group that have so much knowledge! ??
Now best get back to doing your own homework !
Boring and tedious post from you your lot
By the way are you invested here !
Dyor
say whatever you like but still prefer to be invested in a company valued at more than £100m and with over 20 million in the bank, doing projects with the government, cancer research UK and Biontech. most Scancell private investors are now break even if not trading and those that did trade are well up. And all to play for. What everyone needs to understand here is that it is a long game and needs lots and lots of money.
Carry on ... if you feel you have the ability to pick holes in SCLP's science .. good luck to you
unfortunately the GOV has just granted the consortium £2.7m for the Covidity vaccine
I think someone’s asking for some of us to start posting on the sclp board. Picking holes in their p poor investment. I know for a fact the regular posters won’t take kindly to the lost soul with a big chip on his shoulder, causing unnecessary grief.
Patience is what is now required, please.
We are waiting for the equivalent of this document from March 2017, which will clear up most of the currently debated points.

Until then, it may be fun speculating, but I prefer now to hold the amount I am comfortable with, having taken some modest profits, and wait until later this quarter for the full results.
